Just dropped in for a quick lunch. I asked for something that was not on the menu, and the waiter immediately spoke to the chef and improvised a dish. Definitely will visit again. 😊
Very nice staff, close to closing on a jammed night but still found room for us and we were surprisingly served very quickly. Noodles were good portions but the dumplings were the best part. Not over breaded like most places. Good spot that was open later while most were closed.
Good food with a decent variety of choice. Price is quite expensive compared to the portion. Overall, it is a good hotpot restaurant.
Nice staff. The food was good overall. However, we ordered no spicy food, it was mildly spicy (-1 ⭐️) but it came fast.
We tried many Chinese restaurants but this one was far more better than the others.
One more thing to add is, if you would go for that dish which was chicken, please be careful as it is full of small bits of chicken bones.
This is the most authentic Chengdu flavour I could ever get in the UK honestly. The wonderful spicy and salty and fragrant taste immediately sent me back to my hometown. My husband also loves it very much. The many years I stayed in the Warwickshire, my Chengdu stomach was saved by their hotpot otherwise I’d be so depressed. The food is fresh too only perhaps the portion is a little small for the price we pay. But anyhow it’s just wonderful. Do order their Sichuan wide noodles for the main and deep fried pork as a snack. Beef trips and duck blood and the frozen tofu are all very good.
That was exactly what I was looking for, I had this kind of food, last time in China 🇨🇳.. many years ago ☀️😍🥵
We arrived without a booking to a very busy evening. The staff were so friendly and managed to find a table for us quite quickly, table was thoroughly cleaned down before we took a seat.
Once seated the staff asked if we had been before and went through how things work there with the "hotpot" then continued to explain to us items on the menu. I found this very helpful as I was unsure how some of the items were served.
The hotpot and food came out after not too long of a wait and we were both very impressed, the food was presented very well and tasted fantastic!
Cost of the complete meal was very reasonable too. We had 3 beers, 2 soft drinks, one of the larger sharer meals on the menu plus a few sides on top and it came to around £80.
All in all a great place to visit and will be visiting again.

Went here for a meal with the family! It was pretty quiet, 2 tables including us. It was a casual dinner, what you’d expect when you go out for a hot hot. Was disappointed that there was no coconut! Overall a pleasant experience the only thing missing was the atmosphere
As far chinese hot pot goes, I’d say that this is a decent place and would come back for sure. The staff are nice and accomodating. Would recommend!
An authentic restaurant with many dishes very strong in flavour and spicy so ask for less spicy if you can’t handle it so would of given five stars if not for that. It seems it is linked to the restaurant next door. A nice place. Remember it’s cash only.
Superb hot pot with a wide range of choices and decent prices. If you're good with your choices you can get good dinner within £20 per person, which is good for a hot pot restaurant.
The food is lovely, the staff are always polite and happy to explain any dishes you may be unfamiliar with. Strong recommendation!
Always a positive experience at Xiong QI. Food is good, price is very reasonable, regular treat for when we are hosting friends and family.
Awesome experience and great food. I’d recommend going with a native speaker though. I went with my housemates and the translated everything for me. Otherwise you’ll probably struggle to understand and order everything.

We went for a family lunch on New year’s day and ordered food off the menu rather than hotpot. Staff were friendly, food came fast and delicious. Will be going back again for the potato & aubergine dish.
Absolutely lovely food, spicy and beef broth something for all pallets 😄
It was great and fun experience. We've went for a pre selected meniu, it was great, we tried bits we would normally wouldn't have tried
