Popped in for a couple of drinks before Lloyd Cole concert at the Cathedral. Really nice place with friendly locals (what I would call a "proper" pub), surrounded by noisier, trendier bars which we like to avoid! The barman was very friendly and helpful with recommendations for local gin & mixers. We will have to try the food next time as it looked really good. Hope to return if we're ever back in the area.
If you're coeliac / gluten / wheat intolerant, then this is the place for you! The whole menu is gluten free. The food is excellent & there are lots of vegan and vegetarian choices on the menu as well. It's in the centre of the city, so ideal for lunch or dinner & tables can be booked online via the website. We'd definitely go back.
Great food..you do have to wait but it's freshly made so what do you expect! Well worth it. Love how they cater for gluten free and dairy free vegetarian diets which is often missed my pubs. Really friendly and helpful staff. Love it
This place is pet friendly! That was amazing, considering the other places close by just sent us outside, and with the rain, that was impossible.
The food is simply delicious, and the vibes of the place are really cool, we felt very welcome. It also has an inside patio for smoking.
A beautiful pub with huge character.
Went here for the first time and it felt safe, had a great atmosphere, and as the evening progressed there was music and dancing.
I will definitely be back for a pint on open mic night, and possibly some food too as they look to have a good selection of dishes to choose from 😁
Went in as a group of 6. We had to shuffle some chairs about but did find space. It wasn't crowded.
The atmosphere is nice, and staff are pleasant.
Drinks are more expensive than I'd have expected.
There was a live band but I didn't notice what they were called.
Fun old pub to visit. Nice servers and the food came out relatively quick. The fish was cooked well, crispy breading but soft on inside. Great selection of beers as well!
A beautiful pub/restaurant inside and out. We arrived on a busy Sunday afternoon without booking, the staff were very accommodating and found us a table upstairs, the female member of staff made us feel so welcome! The ENTIRE menu is Gluten Free so my companion was very impressed. Centrally located by the iconic Cathedral so is easy to find. Enjoy. M

Small but perfectly formed. Good food, great beer and excellent service. All food (on the normal menu) is gluten free. The fish and chips was really good and I've also had a tremendous Sunday dinner. Staff are unfailingly human.
Great menu. Totally gluten free, not that the menu screams that at you- it's just a small comment at the bottom of the page. It's odd, looking at a menu without GF beside everything but trying to understand you can eat everything on the menu. The food was fabulous, dare I say "you can't tell it's gluten free" and neither could my companions who are gluten eaters :)
After a return visit, this time for the Korean BBQ chicken burger, I can say it is still living up to high expectations.

I'm sorry I didn't take any photos, I meant to and I forgot! 🙄 this was a lovely, relaxed and friendly atmosphere I would liken it to sitting in a large living room with a bar at the end! the staff were friendly and welcoming, I visited with my partner, on Thursday 28th of September.
We had an evening meal, I booked the table for 6pm, we both had the tempura prawn starter, which was presented very nicely with drizzled sauce over the plate, we had five large prawns.
For our mains we both had the Chicken Supreme, with a lovely mustard mash, and green beans and carrots the Chicken was cooked properly, and not dry! the sauce was a creamy stilton sauce, which was lovely, but you don't get much on the plate, so I asked for and paid £1.50 for.
We both felt our meals were worth what we paid, as the quality was good, the only slightly negative thing I have to say is we would have liked a bit more vege on the side.
We would both definitely go back, they also have live music nights it's usually rock/indie music, which interests both myself and my partner.
Very nice and comfortable pub, traditional rooms and real ales. It’s the first time I had veggie fish and chips and it was really good and you know they put care into creating actually good vegetarian meals.

Delightful gluten free traditional Homemade British menu!
Oldest pub in Coventry, It´s historic features make it worthwhile visiting. Definitely recommended!
We haven't been to the Cross in a while, but went in before we went for some dinner. The pub and staff were fine but the bar closed really early, about 6pm on the Sunday we were there. Seemed a bit odd, but the time we were there was nice.
Found this place on Google maps, was looking for somewhere local in the city that did a Sunday roast, and I'm so pleased we found this restaurant.
We had our 2 small dogs with us. The website didn't say pet friendly but we asked out of curiosity and thank goodness they were. We sat in the garden area, which the dogs loved. The bartender was more than forthcoming and provided a bowl of water for them. They even had a little run playing ball and met some pet friendly people.
Food was a tad expensive but worth it because its gluten free/dairy free, everything is clearly labelled on there menu. You get a very good portion and it's made fresh, we could taste the herbs, which was divine.
Atmosphere was lovely. They even do live entertainment here, which we intend to visit in the near future. Service was great and has disabled access.
