After hiring the meeting room for the first time yesterday, I can honestly say that I am blown away. The staff are very attentive and friendly and the food is amazing! My wife and I have lunch at The Tollgate fairly frequently. The carvery is excellent, one of the best that we have ever been to. A good range of vegetables are kept hot (but not dried-out) and the joints of meat are beautifully-cooked and (for the cost of the meal) generously carved (thanks Matthew

The service, the food and the staff were absolutely great. Really made my birthday a special day. BUT it would have been nice to have the ordering system explained when we were being seated, as when the waitress came back to check our order we hadn’t done anything.

Haven’t been for a while, felt it had gone down. Glad I came back - the food was excellent! Had a carvery, everything was cooked beautifully, the beef was very tender, the mashed potatoes were creamy, there was plenty of fresh vegetables to choose from. I will come back again.
Popped in for a quick lunch with the children. Jade was our server. She was polite and accommodating to the children. The meals were delicious, in particular the children's pizza deal for £6 Inc pudding. Not a microwave pizza in sight!
Megan our waitress and matt were friendly, helpful and went put there way to make sure my little 9month had some food as he has a milk allergy.

Came from brum for the weekend and was extremely pleased with the welcome and the service that we received. We were served by the lovely Cara who went above and beyond. She's definitely a credit to the Tollgate.
I came in completely unprepared for the SENSATIONAL service from a gentlemen called Cameron he helped me quench my thirst with a perfectly poured pint of carling, I dunno if it was his looks or the tremendous pint pulling skills but that was the best pint I’ve ever had! 10/10 would highly recommend
I came for dinner yesterday with my partner. We had halloomi fries and chicken mix for starters and a pizza each for mains. The food was really great and the 2 staff out the front was amazing. Will definitely be coming back again!
If you're looking for exceptional service, look no further than The Tollgate. The staff here is truly outstanding, and I can't say enough good things about them. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and enthusiasm, and that level of care continued throughout my entire visit.

Can’t applaud the staff here enough, my sons autistic and going places can be so stressful, they will let us sit in the same place every time where he likes, they will make his food 10 minutes before we get there so he’s not waiting and they just go above and beyond for us.

Went to take the kids for a pizza party where they could create their own pizza. Ended up staying for a carvery too. Food was lovely and the staff were brilliant especially with the kids. They provided games for them to play too whilst the pizzas were cooking. Very good experience.
Always love going here it is a lovely pub and the staff are so helpful and polite. The food is amazing the cauliflower cheese is absolutely delicious. I often go on a Sunday when I don't want to cook but still fancy a roast you won't find a better one than here.
