Pretty good food but I definitely recommend for your 1st time coming here with someone familiar with Nigerian cuisine, so you can gets some guidance on menu choices. My colleagues who bought me here, both have Nigerian heritage so was in good hands! However we ordered over the phone at least 30 mins ahead, as they warned me that ordering at the restaurant itself would take some time, as everything is cooked fresh.
I decided to get Jollof Rice with Fish (£5.99) and an order of Plantains too, but when we got there, one of my colleagues had ordered Moin Moin (Bean Cake), plantains & fish, which was super tasty looking! The spices in the food were reminiscent of Indian cooking, but the heat/ spice tasted different.
I really liked my plantains, so totally recommend, but I thought the Jollof Rice ate a bit too dry. Also my piece of fish could have had more curry. The Moin Moin was super tasty and quite dense, but not chewy. Initially I thought it was vegetarian, but realized later that there were pieces of meat inside, and not sure what it was, and for the rest of the afternoon felt guilty thinking had accidentally eaten beef, which is a protein I avoid since was raised in the Hindu faith.
There's other interesting things on the menu, and I'm a novice when it comes to Nigerian food, so I wouldnt mind coming back to check other things on the menu.

You want to experience Nigeria in Coventry this is a Good place. All popular Nigerian dishes and drinks. Don't ask me what the Je drink is for, find out for yourself😉 The pricing is excellent, the waiting times are 10 to 15 but sometimes more when busy. The good news they are moving to a new bigger place as this one is proving small...
This is one of the best Nigerian food places in UK. I came all the way from Birmingham to Coventry just to eat at this wonderful place and I promise you that I don’t regret it at all. It was worth it. The food is very fantastic. Infact, I wish I could carry the restaurant with me. The staff are very polite, respectful and friendly.I will definitely be coming back here again.Well done to the owners! 👏🏽
Lovely settings in the heart of Gosfort Street Coventry. The food was good and the service I really can't complain. Priced reasonably and authentic Nigerian cuisine with Nigerian Guinness to boot! Overall a good experience
Best Nigerian restaurant I have eaten at in the UK! Its a small to medium restaurant caters for close to to 25 people when full. Loved the food and Nigerian drinks. The abula is a delicacy, its better eaten than described. For a small restaurant it is quite busy there is a constant traffic of delivery guys - uber eats, deliveroo, just eat et all. Counted 4 at one time all crowding the reception. Its a testament though of the quality of food they make. I'd advise they get a bigger place, surely need to expand
Delicious food, nice staff and lovely ambience. Will be ordering again. Especially the fried meat stew.
Good management, the staff are nice to their customers. I enjoyed my pounded yam with efo riro and bitter leaves soup it's sooo yummy 😋😋🤤🤤.
Among the Top Three restaurants in Coventry.

Amazing place to dine. Neat, well organised, and good vibes.
This place offers discounted rate to students on a meal plan. The food is good
By far one of the best African- Nigerian food I had in all of the Midlands. However, the service and time management is lacking.
Great tasty food at good price
This was my first African dish, I loved the rice but not so much of fish. Overall it was good.
the food took a while to arrive. definitely need to add more staff or improve their process. they seem to prioritise deliveries over eating in
