Friendly staff & very quick service for food. We would highly recommend this pub to people. We had the half chicken with garic & herb dressing. It was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be going back.
Absolutely exemplary public house - from greeting by the highly personable staff members, right through to the warm, friendly atmosphere during my visit, the Open Arms really is a pillar of the community here in Cheylesmore. The beer was so well poured - and my food was divine - I could even go as far to say I was aroused by the peppercorn sauce - bravo Ember
Very friendly staff & 1st class hot food. Great value for money. Massive meals & puddings in the day time set menu. Would definitely recommend going here & we will be back.
Second time we've come for brunch and both times its been really good!! The food comes out quick and tastes amazing!! The service is fantastic too, nothing is too much trouble! Would definitely recommend!
Love this pub. Excellent meals 5*, lovely friendly staff and regulars. Been there twice now and thoroughly enjoyed both visits. Just a shame it's so far from my home that I have to wait till a non drinking friend offers me a lift. Long walking distance from City Centre, but well worth a visit.

We were a table of 7 and we all had good food, good wine and a great laugh. The staff were lovely and our little glass collector was such a cutie.
Only went for drinks after a meal some where else .. The staff in there were so,friendly and chatty we are going back for a meal next week though .. My daughter goes here regularly .

Always love visiting the open arms ..very friendly staff ..and nice atmosphere ..always bump into a old friend or just to meet friends and family and have a jolly ole time. Defo reccomend to anyone wanting a nice meal few drinks and a laugh �

Had a lovely Sunday lunch with family and friends. We were a group of 10 and everyone enjoyed their meals. They all came out together without too much waiting. Clean, modern decor and professional friendly staff. Definitely book a table because it gets busy.
My friends and I decided to have a little pub lunch. It's my first visit, but it's one of my friend's regular pub. The staff were lovely, the food was nice and quite generous. I would definitely go again.
Came in for lunch with my parents. I had the Chicken Tikka Curry it was amazing. The staff are all really friendly and they let dogs in in certain areas which is a bonus. Will definitely be back.

A very popular pub with nice and courteous staff. Food was generally in par with others. Unfortunately the steak was overcooked today.
Had a family meal at the open arms yesterday (24) of us. Obviously we had to book and pre-order. The food was excellent not one of the party complained about anything in fact everyone of us was complementary about the service/food/and atmosphere well done to Sharon and all the staff that were involved
My husband & I booked a date night meal out to celebrate 4 weeks of wedded bliss. It was a brilliant experience. Although our table wasn't quite ready on arrival, we were made comfortable and taken care of while we waited a few minutes. The dining room was clean & tidy, service was prompt but not intrusive, the food delicious and the atmosphere very friendly.
We enjoyed a very good straightforward meal. Amazing value and very good service. My gammon was beautifully cooked with lovely chips and petit pois.
Good choice of beers, lagers and everything else.

Easy to book a table online .,arrived and ordered food via app. Staff were friendly and helpful . Food was hot , tasty and plenty of it on the plates . No complaints .
Been working up Coventry and me and my work pal decided to stop in and have a mixed grill about a month ago it was easily a 10/10 up there with the best , everything perfectly cooked ,, went back there today and exactly the same , absolutely beautiful food Highley reccomend
Dog friendly in certain areas so ask before you sit. Food was ok. Portions were ok but not generous. If I would have to guess I would suggest the vegetables with the Sunday roast are either frozen or kept in water for a long term me as they were very soft. Asked about allergies which was good. Friendly.

Staff were amazing very polite, interacting with the guests making them feel welcome just a really good laugh, highly recommend, as far as improvements there is nothing in my opinion it was clean and tidy everyone had a smile on there face the pub was run the way it was supposed to be definitely living up to there name welcomed me with “open arms”.
