The staff are always friendly, welcoming and courteous. I get fish and chips for my elderly parents who need to have the food gluten free and there has never been any problem with this - food is always fresh and ready for me to collect when I have ordered by phone. When we have had food from there it has been just as good and nothing is too much trouble. They deserve to do well.

Always efficient, happy and helpful. The food is always fresh, hot and very tasty. I’m a fussy eater of salad but I had it with my lamb kebab and chips it was beautiful 😊 definitely recommend this chip shop

Delicious glutenfree fish and chips tonight. Worth the drive from holbrooks

Lovely food, twice had the cod and chips, fish was spot on, light and fluffy and just melted in the mouth, the batter was nice too and not thick and hard, sometimes when u cut into a piece of fish in can have more batter and air than fish making it a disappointment, not in this case. Chips was lovely too and not too greasy or stale. My only disappointment is I don't drive and your not on the 'Just Eat' app. May be think about doing delivery as your about the only place that isant on it.....I only have food from here when my boyfriend is over and he fancies a kebab then he drives up, but his not from Coventry....your salad is awesome too always tastes fresh...how it should be 👌

Great chip shop friendly staff

In my opinion this is the best takeaway in Coventry and to date the best in the West Midlands from what I’ve experienced. The grill menu is outstanding. I’ve ordered the grilled Lamb Shish and my wife the grilled Chicken Shish and this is an authentic Mediterranean kebab and simply delicious. I ordered the Mix Grilled Kebab on my next visit and the my wife stuck with the trusted Chicken as I wanted a sample of the Kofta to see if it was on par, and I wasn’t disappointed. Beautifully marinated and seasoned and cooked with intimate knowledge and as always with a smile and a friendly greeting from what I presume is a family run business. Loads of staff make this place very efficient and friendly and despite always being busy, I’ve never had to wait longer than 10mins for an order on walk up. You can speed this up further by phoning your order ahead, but I miss the interaction between a family business and a local customer, so I always walk in to say hello. As a Fish and Chip shop it is again outstanding. The Fish is the freshest I’ve tasted in a land locked county and the chips are cooked like a chip shop should. The portions are enormous, so order frugally and you will always struggle to finish it, despite wanting too. The Chicken and Lamb Donner are excellent quality too and are very far removed from a cheeky doner on the way home after a drink, definitely worth a try. One improvement I would like to see is their sauces. They are very good, but some nice authentic Tzatziki or a homemade chilli sauce to go with the grilled menu would be the icing on the cake. I want to taste a Kebab and close my eyes and imagine I’m in the Mediterranean. The best takeaway bar none so far in my opinion, I’ve tried all the others in Coventry (and I mean all), this is the most authentic Grilled Kebab. I’m so pleased it my local. It's worth paying extra for the kebab on the grill as the meat is good quality (much better than the Istanbul). The salad has a great selection and always fresh. Pizza's are good and not too expensive.
