We came here on a narrowboat in July it was that good we came 2 nights in a row . 3 months later we did a big loop heading to the Ashby canal we decided to go a few miles further to come here again. We were so glad we did as the food and service were so much better than we remembered the first time

A wonderful evening spent in the pub after a day on the canal. Staff very attentive, friendly and polite. Could not have asked for better. Food is excellent; the lock keeper's will defeat all but the very hungriest and is great value. Would give it 10 out 5 stars if I could.
