Excellent! From the moment we stepped through the door into a busy dining area we all felt welcome and relaxed. This feeling never slackened throughout our visit! We arrived for Sunday lunch to celebrate my daughter's and my birthdays with my two lovely grandchildren. We did not warn the Inn of this, but the friendly, attentive staff immediately picked up on the special occasion and set about contributing to a memorable experience. My roast was brought out in good time and well presented. Quite the best l can remember for a long time. Desserts were also superb with a surprise birthday presentation included, (see photos.) The children were as happy and relaxed as my daughter and l. In fact my daughter could not have chosen a better venue. Very good value for money, but do book ahead. A big, "Thank you!" to your happy, smiling, professional staff for a joyous experience!

A very good example of a Sunday roast. Gravy was rich with flavour. Beef was of a high quality and very well cooked. Carrots and green beans tasted fresh and cooked just right. Roast potatoes were crispy and fluffy inside. Cauliflower cheese and pigs in blankets were an delicious compliment to the meal. Service was very friendly and accommodating. Atmosphere was calm and the view over the canal adds to the overall charm.

Follow Mr & Mrs R on TikTok. Had a wonderful day out at the Navigation Inn. This was to celebrate my friends birthday with a lovely lunch time meal. Due to the service and standard of food I am happy to announce that my friend had an amazing experience and he says he’ll cherish it forever. This pub by the canal was his mother’s favourite place. Unfortunately she died recently and our visit was not only to celebrate his birthday but to raise a glass as a loving tribute to an adored mother. 🥂 If your looking for a pub with great views, great ale, great service and great food… look no further. 👍🍺🥂🍽🏆

Lovely setting with views over the canal, good food but not great for the price. Service was, er, “casual”, but as they automatically add 10% service charge to all bills then the staff don’t exactly have to make any effort. VERY dog friendly, with dogs allowed in the bar, patio and garden (just not in the main dining room). They have a “Woof Wall” with photos of visiting dogs, drinking bowls, free treats AND an entire dog menu!

Lovely canal side restaurant. The service was first rate despite them being quite busy and we all really enjoyed our meals including gluten free, vegetarian and vegan diets. The Sunday roast chicken was excellent. We ate inside but still had a great view of the boats going past on the adjacent canal .

Visited on Tuesday, 20th of June, around 12pm for brunch, before heading to work in London. The place looked lovely, despite the weather and the food was absolutely delicious! 😊 The young lady who served me was named Althea, and she couldn’t have been more helpful. Very friendly, courteous, without being over the top. Great food and amazing service. Will be back again. Many thanks to Althea! 😊

A great place to relax with friends, with a lovely view across the water. The staff were attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed and the food was lush! Not too expensive either.

Great location next to the Grand Union Canal with a nice atmosphere. Food was excellent and the staff were great. A wonderful place to eat. Happy to recommend. Staff enjoyed having photos with Speedomick before we left.

The restaurant here has a lovely setting - looking through the big windows out at the greenery and the canal. Unfortunately we were seated in the side room but it was still pleasant enough. We decided on a couple of burgers, the beef (not pictured) and the chicken Milanese (pictured) were both enjoyable. We shared a spiced sourdough sticky toffee pudding which although tasted nice, was a bit expensive for what it was. I'd be keen to return to try some of the other items on the menu although I probably won't have dessert again.

I have been here on several occasions and recommend it. We went once as a family, we had an outside pod with its own heating and music (with volume control), the pod was really nice and comfortable and a novel experience. The food is of a high quality with plenty of gluten-free and vegetarian/vegan options if required. Service is very good and the menu selection is nice.

Really nice pub/restaurant 👌 In the middle of nowhere, but we'll worth the visit! Proper nice inside and great view by a canal. Not the cheapest, but worth it. 2 for 1 pizzas, and the vegan option was bangin!!! If your nearby definitely drop by. Ale was spot on too!

What a treat finding this pub/restaurant, and it being the same chain as the Cherry tree in Olney. We didn't reserve, so had drinks at the bar and luckily got a cancelled reservation out on the terrace overlooking the canal within half an hour Service was excellent, food and drinks selection were really good. I went for the specials - soup of day and flat iron steak, my other half had Padron peppers and a pizza, both dishes did not disappoint. Individual glasses of wine. The ambience was lovely and we were luckily to catch a really beautiful sunset that evening too. Definitely return as love the chain, and the setting is very pleasant.

Moved locally a week ago and found a gem of a public house which I can't wait to experience in the Spring and Summer! But for now, I am happy to go through their gin menu, with open fire and excellent atmosphere! Can't wait to bring my friends here!

Nice settings. Literally by the canal so the views are amazing. Tried to have Sunday lunch outside on a sunny day and see said views, as the garden area is rather large. Sadly no food being served outside due to staff issues. Inside was hot and busy... no thank you. Tried the evening menu instead. Nice but could be better, service was a little slow. Menu seems quite a mix, seems like they've tried to cover every base. Not enough meats on the menu, far too many pizzas. On a lighter note, there's plenty of parking. It's gets busy so booking a table is advised, even during the day. To note there are only a few tables inside with a view of the canal, most do not.

+ Excellent roast dinner (however, the chicken option was more generous than the beef) + Extra gravy on request (and I believe extra Yorkshires too, although you likely won't need another!) + Friendly and attentive staff + Great view from lots of tables - Desserts were not to the same standard as the mains, pleasant, but nothing special

Lovely pub overlooking the canal with beautiful garden space. Very nicely done. Excellent menu with a good range of dishes. Very attentive and friendly staff. Not the greatest range of ales and on the pricier side but otherwise can't fault.

Visited with family for an impromptu lunch and was very pleasantly surprised. 3 of us ordered sandwiches but that really doesn't sell them for what they are. Gorgeous focaccia bread overflowing with lovely fresh fillings. Visit and enjoy!!
