I'm guessing something ahs changed in the last year, because all I can say is the food is amazing, large portion of fries and had the Philly cheese steak sandwich. Now totally stuffed, great value for money. We sat outside and the garden is lovely with areas of sun and shade which was what we needed so our dog could relax and cool down. Top marks

Nicest pub garden in Purbeck. Spotlessly clean, fresh dog bowls (not slimy green plastic), well tended garden, and staff who clear away the previous customers debris promptly. A decent pint, and also the cheapest in the area - will be back for food as soon as I can get a table!

We arrived late, on a Tuesday evening although the kitchen was shut they were very accommodating and cooked us fish and chips very friendly people, good service, excellent food, very good choice of local drinks. The views in the garden were amazing, will definitely be back. Also dog friendly!

We stopped here for lunch. Sandwiches were very nice, some real care had gone into trying to make them a cut above the rest. An option for chips instead of crisps with the sandwich would be nice. Service friendly and quick. Lovely old pub atmosphere. Price reasonable considering the location.

The staff here are great, very welcoming and friendly. They even went the extra mile and made sure our toddler's food was brought out before ours despite a busy kitchen as they could see he was hungry even though he was being patient. Much appreciated! The food was excellent and the beer garden at night would be a wonderful place to return to for a date as a couple, as with the candles and wildlife sounds it's like a romantic secret garden!

Great place. Welcoming, friendly and efficient service and very accommodating too. Food was excellent. Steak frites, fish taco, fish n chips and my own off-piste order of scallops and pigeon starters went down a treat! Just one suggestion - add bacon to scallops dish, maybe instead of dried strawberry strip I loved the atmosphere here. Old and unassuming. It doesn't try to be anything more than it is and therefore feels more comfortable and welcoming.

We booked 4 people, and 3 dogs for dinner and the staff were very accommodating! With the dogs we needed a bit of space and they gave us a corner table with plenty of room. Don’t judge this place on it’s look! It’s very much a rustic pub and I’ll be honest, was expecting basic pub food… but oh my was I wrong. The food was incredible! I had slow cooked ribs and they were divine! The portion sizes are huge so we could only do two courses. It was very quiet the night we went and left around 9:00pm when we were the last people in there. Highly recommend going if you want fantastic food!

A lively pub with indoors and garden space for drinks and dining. Excellent Sunday roasts and in summer barbeques are also available on the menu. Outside tables are very popular plan ahead and book a table in advance.

Visiting from Canada and staying in the village for a week. The Fox quickly became our local. Friendly, welcoming staff and cozy atmosphere. Lovely huge garden to dine outside. Great pints & food, fresh and delicious. Best fish & chips! Shout outs to Shaun and Jess who took good care of us 😁 Keep up the great work Brendon! Cheers! 🇨🇦

We ate here after finding an online review and it did not disappoint. Both the steak and ale pie and the fish and chips were excellent. The service was fast courteous and friendly. Plus too Jesse made me a really good cup of coffee. Also the atmosphere was great

We had a fantastic meal at The Fox Inn. A delicious Chicken and Leek pie and Strawberry and Basil cheesecake for 16 pounds. Friendly staff but I was a little disappointed in the interior, as I was expecting more of a historical atmosphere, as it is the oldest pub in Corfe. We will eat there again though!

I ate here a few weeks ago, and ever since I have been dreaming of the marinade which came with my steak. Quite simply the best meal I have ever eaten. Cooked not by the chef, but the proprietor. Wonderful.

We visited twice whilst on holiday and both times could not have been better. Food was delicious, good choice, speedy service and so welcoming. Lovely place both outside with views and cosy indoors.

So nice to get back to a pub lunch and a great pub ti choose for our first in many months. Social distancing well managed, huge garden, well protected from the wind and sunny aspect, plus great views of the castle. Friendly staff and lovely food. I had the ploughman's. Kofta looked bit dry and no salad with it but other food was great.

Great place for lunch. Interesting food at reasonable prices. The staff were friendly and the service was quick and efficient . There's a pleasant, shady garden with a view of Corfe castle. We were a large group and had a good experience.
