After trodding about the grounds of Conwy Castle all afternoon, in the strange but warm and sunny weather, my friends and I then departed from the fortress of Conwy, cause we had to as it was closing time, only to then quickly stumble upon George & Dragon. This was more like being stranded in a desert, alone, with a sociopathic camel... only to then happen upon an oasis which wasn't a mirage. You have a fine piece of property, your patio is awesome and you have the best fish and chips in Wales from the other four places I tried. Wish I could have spent more time drinking on that patio. Maybe next time. Till then, farewell George & Dragon!
Been coming to Conway my whole life and was quite content with and used to The George And Dragon the way it was for years but now it's waaaaaay better!!!! Gorgeous makeover inside and out, stunning grub and friendly, helpful staff. Had a lovely evening meal with the wife and kids out in the courtyard round the back and we would all highly recommend the place to anyone :-)
Fantastic service, beautiful food. The fish and chips was some of the best I've ever eaten - particularly the chips with a sprinkling of herbs on them and the kids meals were wholesome and well cooked too.
Excellent food very nice lovely place too relax and chill out very helpful staff. Deffo 5 *..... visitor from holyhead
Friendly pub with a warm welcome. Arrived to watch the Wales v England rugby match in the afternoon . Had such a welcome that we didn't leave till nearly last orders . Dogs welcomed and food looked fabulous. Will definitely be back.

Beautiful little pub in Conwy. If you are in this part of Wales, make sure you visit this beauty. I had fish and chips along with a good pint of Guinness, but they have a variety of dishes and drinks for everyone

We had lunch here , which was delicious and reasonably priced. Service was quick and smooth. The young lady behind the bar was really helpful and friendly. Great atmosphere.
Quaint and cosy pub in the centre of Conwy. Called in for lunch and was delighted by the quality of the food. We ordered burgers and they were huge! Well cooked and presented, and the service was excellent. Was starting to get a little crowded as we finished our meal. But I guess that's normal for a Saturday lunchtime with football on TV and the Welsh rugby on shortly after 😁
Highly recommended, could easily while away a couple of hours there 😉
08/09/23: Guinness stout and St. Austell Brewery: Tribute 4.3%. Lovely spacious beer garden at the rear. Pop up canopies are great for rain shelter but more so from the sun. Dog friendly. Only a very small craft ale selection on tap.
Typical friendly Welsh welcome to us 3 Irish visitors from fellow drinkers to bar staff !! Thanks !!
Great non alcoholic beer and a perfect pint of Guinness!! We will be back soon !!
Lovely views over the water, room on the small side but everything you need. Food and staff great, certainly no evidence of 'they don't like tourists' which iv seen on previous reviews
It was okay, food was average pub grub. The bar staff were friendly and helpful. Very small pub, but it is an old building in a medieval town.
Nice pub food and a good selection of drink available. There was a children's menu and their wasn't a long wait for food to arrive. There's a beer court yard, and sports tv's showing Sky Sports.
We had the 5 plate sharer we had sweetcorn ribs. Hash browns, salt & pepper squid , halloumi chips , Nachos with beef chilli sauce for £22.00 it was delicious and worth every penny plus everything was cooked and presented to perfection the staff were very polite the service was excellent we will definitely be returning here in the future
Nice and delicious food. Nice Staff, service was quick and Professional!
Thanks for
Great pub food but was quite a squeeze so all of the tables cannot be used at once. Other than that, no complaints
Great little pub, food was lovely atmosphere great, staff really worked hard.
Very welcoming staff and a great atmosphere. Nice beer garden and we were lucky enough to see a live band, The Old Time Sailors
Called in off the cuff. Lovely pub, great staff, dog friendly in beer garden and tiled area of the inside. Will revisit when next here.
