A beautiful place with amazing views, plus an extensive vegan menu! Had sausage and rosemary mash with a rich and deep gravy and Greek salad. Some interesting books in the little gift shop too.

Lovely place for cuppa and a scone or a scone...however you pronounce it locally (and I know you just did both pronunciations)

They bake everything onsite. I gad a great pasta dish for lunch. Giant scones come out of the oven around 11 am. The man who helped me was amazing.

A terrace with a wonderful view of Coniston and offering equally good food making it one of the best places in the lakes for lunch. If the weather is inclement (or it’s busy) there is also good seating inside. We very much enjoyed the pork burgers on ciabatta with very crispy skin on fries. The smoothies were also very good. Table service is friendly and quick. The food is cooked fresh so a bit of a wait but this gives you more time to enjoy the view. The experience is best complimented by a visit to Brentwood and a sail across the water on The NT steam boat.

Really wet day, couldn't cook for myself but they were open. Amazing pizza and I know my pizza. Lovely service so welcomed, fantastic food. When I come back to the lakes will definitely get another. 5*

Have visited this coffee shop nearly every year for the last 20 years. Recently renovated a back room for more space. Good cakes and coffee. Great view of the Old Man of Coniston. One of my favourite places to visit.

Beautiful views from the terrace (my pictures don’t do it justice) of Coniston Water. The staff were accommodating and the food was more than satisfying! Right next to Brantwood House as well as the gardens.

Absolutely stunning view. Swiss like vibe. Definitely a recommendation. Getting there is quite a challenge the roads are extremely small.

Vegan cauliflower curry was excellent, 10/10. Oat milk available for coffees and a vegan cake option which was choc orange and absofruitly delicious. Lovely staff and the non-vegan options were good too 😆

Perfect location and perfect food. I was a bit worried about the lack of options on the menu, however , I shouldn’t have worried. The food was amazing. All of our party raved about it. Lovely trip on the gondola and spectacular views.

We were there on a very wet day which was a shame as the views were lovely. Limited menu with some interesting food which was very nice...well mine was (pheasant). Husband wasn't so sure about his chowder. We will go back hopefully on a nice day.

This is not your average museum cafe. Amazing mains and freshly baked cakes on one of the best terraces in the Lakes, with a good selection of drinks too. Worth making the trip for lunch even if you aren't going to museum (although you should see that too!)
