Fantastic place to stay. Despite arriving very late because of the train strikes, the owner was waiting up and gave us a nice warm welcome. Everywhere is really nicely decorated, clean and cosy. There's a large communal lounge to plan walking routes, and to relax after a long hike. The owner even dried our sodden walking clothes, which were ready to go the next morning. The breakfasts here are delicious, and the tea and coffee in the rooms are excellent. Thank you for a great stay.

The Meadowdore is a wonderful place to stay. The accommodation is roomy and comfortable. We were given a suite of rooms and a bedroom each which as friends travelling together is great because we can enjoy some privacy. Spotless and tastefully decorated and set right in the middle of town. Lovely hosts and staff.

We've recently stayed here and can't give enough praise. Beautiful room (Swirl How), imaculately clean, friendly and helpful hostess, and the most incredible breakfast. We would highly recommend a stay here and we'll be returning in the future. Thanks for a lovely stay.

A 3 to 4 star rating. Good points you got a pot of hot water to freshen your tea pot which was good. Breakfast was okay, nothing fantastic but certainly edible enough. Not quite enough butter with the toast and no hash brown on my partner's plate but we didn't tell anyone and I'm sure they would have sorted it if we had. Staff were pleasant and service was quick.

Paul, Sharon and Alecia/Alesha were the most lovely and accommodating people we have met. The bed super comfortable with a spotless bathroom. Very central and loved staying here💞

Great place to refuel after a long walk or just to enjoy an Ice Cream on a hot day. They offer a good range of sandwiches, toasties and baguettes. It the class Lakes Ice cream with thunder and lightning being a firm favourite. Friendly staff despite the warm weather, always happy to help customers.

Cute B&B and a lovely hostess! I usually don't like eating a (vegetarian) English breakfast, but this one was really good 😁

Prices are good for a tourist spot in the lakes however, my meal wasn't the best. The fish batter was very greasy. But the soup we ordered was very nice

Great breakfast. Two of us had the veggie breakfast and the other full English. Very nice and was filling. It's not cheap, but nowhere in Coniston is. But it's comparative. Staff very friendly. The water dispenser is a nice touch for a free glass of water just next to the counter. Went again on the Saturday but were told that it only opens at 10. The website does say 09.00 to 17.00 7 days a week, so was a bit disappointed with that because it was part of the morning plan before heading home. Not enough to take a star off though because the food was good and the staff were friendly.

Great cafe in Coniston, we placed our order and were given a tag, which buzzed when our order was ready so we could go and collect it. The food and drinks were ready quickly and were hot and very tasty. The portions were large and very filling. Will definitely return next time we are there.

Had a 2 night stay here on a B/B basis. Rooms beautifully clean. The choice of breakfast was very varied with something for everyone. A thoroughly enjoyable stay. Many thanks to the lovely staff. Nothing was a bother.

Absolutely brilliant. Café serves wholesome food; breakfasts are top class and the family suite we are in is fantastic. Owners are attentive. If you're looking for a cracking place in this part of the Lakes do try to stay here.

Stayed in b and b. Very clean and well set up. Breakfast is at set time each day (8:30-9:30) and was always delicious. High quality ingredients and very tasty. Would recommend either B&B or café.

Friendly cafe that does a great breakfast. It's a good place to set yourself up with a good breakfast before heading out for a days walking. The food was well cooked with good ingredients and fair prices. They are dog friendly if it's not too busy. Definitely recommended.
