Lovely pub and atmosphere, friendly staff, stunning beer garden and some of the nicest food you can get would recommend to anyone, I'm a really fussy eater but the soup from there is by far the best I've ever had �
I booked a table for last night for my father in laws 82nd birthday 9 people. When we arrived a lovely young girl showed us to our table and took our drinks order and gave us the menu. A great choice of food and with me being gluten free the menu was very cleared labeled to what I was allowed. After ordering the wait I feel wasn’t overly long for the quality of food was outstanding. There was 9 empty plates. Usually when we go out there’s usually one of us not happy but not here. It really was beautiful food. The mixed grill that one had was huge and said it was beautifully cooked. We come from Crewe and with my father in law lives in Congleton so I didn’t know where to book and then came across this pub. When a good find. Thank you for a memorable evening for my father in law. Everything was perfect from the food, service. Toilets spotless. Thank you once again.
We visited for a meal tonight, we called ahead in the week to ask if there would be a gluten free option. Lois was so helpful, my husband had the roast dinner with gluten free Yorkshire puddings and gravy. We were also told that a gluten free sticky toffee pudding had been made for dessert. We were so impressed with the service and how they went the extra mile to ensure there was an option of a dessert.
I booked a table for 9 of us for my daughters 14th birthday, the staff were really friendly and welcoming, the food was delicious, everyone of us was happy with our meal. Great place, great atmosphere, like home from home, will definitely be visiting many more times.
The meal was amazing, had the 3 course Christmas dinner. The service was lovely and would recommend them for a meal
Visited the pub for Sunday lunch few weeks ago was so impressed my husband booked for Mother's Day had an excellent meal with my family definitely worth a visit good service nice hot food good price and a good selection of beers
We moored our boat right at the bottom of the steps and enjoyed a good band to whom Ziggy our Border Collie sang along to. The Timothy Taylor's was on form. When we asked if they opened for breakfast they answered "would you like us to?". A vegetarian breakfast and, a full English for me (I needed it for the twelve locks I had to work) set us up for our journey that day. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Amazing pub, I used to come here all the time with my dad when I was little and it still has the same warm and welcoming atmosphere today. We were celebrating a birthday and the staff could not have been more friendly or accommodating, they made a special veggie meal for my toddler as there were no options on the kids menu and the food was all homemade and plentiful. Real value for money, we'll definitely be back soon!
The Queen's is a great local pub, family friendly,the food is good and great value for money .�
I have stayed at The Queens Head Hotel a lot of times. The B&B side is immaculate, the food is amazing, the staff are lovely & would highly recommend it.
Excellent selection of beautifully kept beers and some nice pub food too, all wrapped up in a friendly, welcoming pub with an superb (large!) beer garden with play area for kids and water for dogs... Glad it's my local! ;-)
Great service, well kept beer and a freshly cooked roast dinner. Reasonable price for great food and nice surroundings. We will be back.
Good company, brilliant selection of beers, good food, reasonable prices, friendly bar staff and good friendly atmosphere. Also very handy for the station.
We use this pub regularly to eat drink and socialise with our friends etc, always met with a smile, and staff can’t do enough for you!
Just been today for the Sunday roast I had beef and my daughters had the lamb. This place is the best for Sunday roasts in congleton by far and we've ate out at a lot of establishments on a Sunday. We will certainly be regulars now. Well done

Visited yesterday with my parents and grandparents for some dinner and it was spot on. 5 out of 7 of us had steak (on the brilliant Steak Friday deal) and they were all cooked just how we wanted them. Fantastic food and great service. Merry Christmas to all.
Great Real Ale traditional pub with live music and some great meals gotta try the Big Double burger....A few more staff behind the bar could help as it's a busy goldmine!

A nice dog friendly pub next to the Macclesfield Canal and Congleton railway station.
The buffet was fantastic great garden for the children to play in, great pub.
Another fab Sunday meal - my wife had fish pie I had the lamb hotspot son had New York chicken daughter had the salmon off the special board and her boyfriend home made burger - all arrived at the same time piping hot excellent again
Just called in after a walk with the dogs, friendly staff, great beer and fantastic Sunday roast!!! Will be back soon
We had a fab day there yesterday! 3 adults and kids. Went for lunch and stayed for 6 hours. Nice contained play area, lovely food and excellent service. Like the fact they do ice lollies for kids! Great selection of cider too. Great location as we got the train from Macclesfield and it's super close to the station. We will be back soon!

This is a beautiful located pub just outside Congleton by the canal service was second to none really made you feel welcome as soon as you arrived the fish and chips were beautifully cooked fresh battered fish with lemon the chips were the best chips I've had in a while and the mushy peas were smooth a perfect place to come if you are dropping in for lunch on your way along the Macclesfield Canal would highly recommend xx

Ate here while on a narrow boat trip. Location from the canal was great. Food was good. Service was good too.
What a fabulous meal we had, just dropping in. Fabulous food, great friendly staff, they let dogs in, great big outdoor area for all to use when weather is fit.
Clean, warm, highly recommend a visit, cus the food is fabulous with a great gluten free choice too.
You will not be disappointed.
Didn't see the rooms so cannot comment on these.
