We found this pub by chance after having no luck getting a table at another place. We had an amazing meal, good food, good beer, reasonable prices and very friendly staff. Will definitely be visiting again

We had a brilliant few drinks in this great pub. Nettie the chic and knowledgeable bartender could not have been more welcoming, and introduced us to some new gin cocktails. We loved chatting with the locals at the bar, so much so that we’re planning a return visit in the autumn. Thank you for a memorable visit. Love, Andy & Jenny xx

Lovely pub, visited on our tour of the Broads. Landlady very welcoming, great kids area and very reasonable. Would recommend rather than walking to the Recruiting Sergeant which is very expensive. Thank you!

What I like about the Red Lion is that it is more of a pub than a restaurant , with good beer and entertainment.

Moved here four months ago and have found the pub to be friendly with some excellent ales. Tonight Caroline and I went in for the Thai night and the food was amazing :-)

A great locale with a lovely atmosphere. Brian and Harriet work hard to maintain a village community pub - with regular events, beer festivals, live music etcetera.

Good food, excellent cider, the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Brian the landlord will try to help as much as possible, he went out of his way to get me a steak, he also runs the local taxi and will take you where you want. We will definitely be going back, many thanks.

Really nice pub, food was lovely, we only had something small but it all smelt good. Nice different areas for dining and drinking and a little cosy area too. Bonus that it has a car park so you don't need to worry about parking and we were able to leave the car there until the next morning too.

Curious place where the bar isn't apparent when you walk in until you realise it's sort of downstairs in a small low-ceilinged room. A very friendly welcome and an excellent pint of Bateman's XB, with several other appealing options on handpull. We would have lingered for more but lunch awaited down the road.

Great pub, second time we've visited, once outdoors and this time indoors. Very friendly welcome both times and all required measures in place. Dog friendly. Will definitely be visiting again the next time we're in Coltishall 👍 Thankyou

Great local pub where you only get Norfolk brewed beers. Sarah, who managed the pub is highly hospitable and very industrious in keeping this pub a going concern filled nightly by loyal locals

Ideal stop if you just want a quick cheap snack and a drink as it has a cafe attached to the pub. Had a large scotch egg which was delicious and a nice pint.

We play in band and we really value this venue. Mostly because the people that come to see the band love the pub. It has really friendly staff. a great choice of beers, good wines and some really great dishes. Furthermore, it has a daytime cafe that serves possibly the best coffee on the Broads and maybe even the best breakfast on the Broads. It's a real gem, and definitely worth a visit.

The food is top notch and the ambience special. As well as a good range of veggie food they are known for Thai, fusion food and excellent beers. Dogs are allowed at the bar and they have regular live music sessions. All told a really lovely place. (Watch out for the ghosts though...)

A proper pub.. normally has 3 or 4 real ales on, kept by a wonderfully competent Landlady. Barstaff are friendly and not averse to gentle banter from locals, good range of clientele from across the political spectrum and the class divide..
