Me and mum called in today for the first time. What a lovely warm friendly and welcoming place and dogs are welcome which makes a refreshing change. We had a delicious toasted sandwich and the most amazing lemon drizzle cake we've ever tasted and it was so fresh it was still warm we will definitely return to sample all the other fabulous home made cakes! Will recommend to everyone xx

Lovely scenery and very dog friendly. Stopped off to get an ice cream on a very hot day. So nice for our dog to get a nice cool drink too rather than our car warmed water! We will be back! The cakes looked delicious. Shame we had already eaten.

A lovely local beauty spot, lot's of folk as you walk around, very friendly and Ideal for dog walkers. On the day we visited the cafe could not accept card payment which was inconvenient and the toilets were closed with the nearest one some distance away. The cafe was quite basic but adequate for general refreshments.

The café building is converted from a remnant of the Industrial Age (part of a former tannery) set beside the lodge (a kind of small man made lake). It’s a lovely stopping point on the walk between Colne and Wycoller, with cheery service and wholesome food (and lovely cakes) at very reasonable prices. It’s very welcoming of walkers, cyclers, family groups and people with dogs. There are lovely views across the small mill lodge and outside seating for warmer weather. My only criticism would be having to ask for the table and chairs to be wiped before we sat down, even though the staff were not massively busy. However this was minor and I’d happily go again.

We were needing a brew and we saw the sign so called great place to visit on a sunny day you can sit out by the lake and watch the birds or on a wet day you can (like we did sit in rain fall on the lake.) The staff were pleasant the drinks were fine There is plenty of parking and free WiFi (if you want or need it) We will return and try more of the menu next time. Of

Delicious food, great location and parking close by. Visited with my mum and my two boys and enjoyed a veggie breakfast and full breakfast's. The lady who took our order was so kind, friendly and thoughtful, nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be returning.. Highly recommended.

Very good traditional Cafe in a lovely location beside the lake. I loved the fact that they use only top quality stuff, no "Happy Shopper" brown sauce etc here !! The place is clean and the staff are very friendly. Although we are not local, when ever we find ourselves even near here we will detour to come back, especially when the warmer weather arrives !! It has a car park. It is dog friendly. It has outside tables and seating as well. Disabled access looked to be no problem.

Great little cafe in a picturesque place overlooking a small wildlife lake/park. There is a carpark & some outdoor seating (which is south facing so in full sun). This was my 1st visit while out on my motorbike & had a bacon/sausage/egg sw & mug of tea that was excellent. Didn't have any cake but they had a great choice of homemade ones that looked delicious. There was plenty of indoor seating & although the facilities are nothing fancy they are absolutely fine (NB only 1 toilet to share). Will definitely call in again if passing.

Very nice cafe at the side of a fishing lake. Decent food and drinks. Plenty of free parking. Disabled people would be better using the lower car park down the steep slope.

Lovely place set along the lake and nature park. The staff are so lovely and friendly and helpful. Can be busy especially on nice days but worth the wait. Outside tables also. Menu is varied including fab cakes.

This is a great cafe run by wonderful staff. They can't do enough for me and brother who has Down's syndrome. Fab food, top class efficient service with a smile, always clean and tidy. We come every week and will continue to do so. Keep up the great work girls. I will recommend you to everyone I know.

Just been today after my daily exercise sanctioned by the Gestapo , ( I mean the Government ) . It was really nice food . I had a Tuna Mayo Sandwich , with side salad , and a piece of one of their many cakes. Twas very scrumptious and washed down with a nice coffee . Added to that , the ladies who worked their were really nice . Would highly recommend . Ps , it's very scenic round the Cafe , so good for a walk in the fresh air :)

For being in the middle of nowhere one of the best cafes I've been to, food was excellent.
