Absolutely amazing food and fantastic staff. Seafood lovers will never leave disappointed! We had Spanish bread with alioli with rapeseed and extra virgin olive oil with flavoured salt, Strangford Lough mussels with white wine and garlic, squid rings, baked scallops with celeriac puree sauteed leak cream sobrasada crumb and leek powder and creamed spinach with parmesan cheese, all simply scrumptious!

The food is just stunning. Quaint, old-school surroundings, balanced by an up-to-date menu. Some great twists on traditional tapas. Fresh, top-notch ingredients and a relaxed, attentive waiting staff. The best restaurant in Portrush, by far.

More than just flavours of Spain, Ocho's Trudy and Sean deliver their own unique take on mouthwatering, delicious savoury tapas and sweet treats. They have sourced the best of local produce and are always coming up with inspirational combinations in their recipes. Ocho is our 'go to' place for those special dates in our calendar. One last thing .... my review would not be complete without mentioning the warm ambiance, artistic presentation of food and the friendly, helpful staff.

Should've made a similar review years ago as every meal we've had in here has been fantastic. Tonight's dining experience was no exception to that trend, all the flavours were magnificent and blended so well together. Staff were friendly even though they were clearly experiencing a very busy night. Book as far ahead as possible to be sure of a table

Caters well for gluten allergies. The menu is quite extensive and tasty. Goggle maps gave bad directions but watch the road for the turn-off. Beautiful scenery and excellent staff

Called day of no problem! Others must be booked way in advance, what happened to spontaneous. Our table had such a view! Lovely The food was top notch! The cauliflower was just the right amount of spicy! We were not rushed to leave so we enjoyed our company and everyone had a special time together. Thank you to Ocho Tapas!

Headed down for lunch and had the 6 piece tapas for 2 persons. With a large glass of wine and a pint of lager it all came in at £42, very reasonable. Service outstanding, food excellent (nearly too much) and great atmosphere. Will definitely return.

Why did I not know this place has been around for years! We'll worthy of the multiple awards for the delicious food. Came for the early bird menu which was amazing value for three tapas. Equally impressed by the kids menu that was a welcome change to the norm. Fish went down very well. Portions are spot on for size, could probably have done without dessert but was very tasty. Lovely evening out in Portrush.

Insanely good food in a lovely setting. Vegan, vegetarian and pescatarian delight. Great selection of tapas that will not disappoint. Great if you want something light. Will be back, keep an eye on their developments!

Booking in advance recommended on Saturday evening. Tables with a sea view are awesome. Very friendly staff. Reasonable price. The food was served quickly. The meatballs, gambas, and bread tapas were fantastic. The croquetas were too small and poorly fried (one of the two was burst). The _tinto de verano_ cocktail didn't taste right, the soda was gasless. Overall a great dinner though.

The location is fantastic (if you can get an outside table - it's nothing special inside) and the food was very nice and good value for money. The only thing that spoiled the experience a little bit was the over zealous service. Our starter plates were cleared within about ten seconds of us putting our cutlery down and the main course was served immediately (seconds) afterwards. The main course plates were then removed whilst we were still chewing our last mouthful! They need to relax the service a bit, especially when the restaurant is not busy as was the case when we visited.

Every time we go to the North Coast we have to visit this fabulous tapas spot. The prices are very reasonable, the service excellent and the food is sublime. It has a family-run feel and something about it makes me want to support it as a cause to be championed in an area dominated by larger groups of restaurants. Give it a visit, you won’t be disappointed - Sangria for lunch in Portrush - what could be wrong with that?

This was our first time in Ocho at the York and I'm glad to say we had a really good time. It was our first tapas experience too. The food was very tasty, it's like having lots of starters which is good because you get to try lots of different things. I'll definitely be back and next time I want to try the paella.

Went on Sunday for a late lunch and as usual wasn't disappointed! This was my first visit to the Cranagh marina location, having enjoyed Ocho's food in Portrush - they have just recently started a Sunday lunch menu, my partner had the 7hr slow braised beef (with tons of sides and a fab shallot gravy) which was a steal at just under £18 for the amount you get. I picked chicken skewers from the normal lunch menu and they were really tasty too. The location is lovely alongside the Bann and although we didn't sit outside under the big stretch tent it would be a great place to have drinks overlooking the water. I'll be back anyway!

Love Ocho Tapas. Food is always excellent and their new home at the Cranagh is a lovely spot. The tean are all lovely and their early bird tapas menu is brilliant value and so tasty.

While visiting from Canada for two weeks, we visited this restaurant and were so happy with the experience, we visited again a few days later! Firstly, I was told they are always busy so it's important to book in advance. I emailed them and Sean, the owner, wrote back almost immediately and confirmed a table at 5 p.m. the next day. Very efficient customer service! Parking is limited (but then it is everywhere in Portrush), so we parked behind the restaurant and the exterior is modestly decorated, but once you enter this restaurant, it is clear it's a little gem. The interior is warm and inviting with cosy booths and tables which are quite private. Desserts can also be seen on display and we received a warm and friendly greeting. There was an Early Bird menu from which 3 tapas each could be chosen for £10.95 which seemed like a bargain, although in other restaurants we've been to, the size of the tapas is usually quite small. Here, however, each tapas was a meal in itself! From a superb selection, ALL dishes were stand out, including the sublime grilled pork filet with a black pepper cream sauce the taste and consistency of which is second to none. My Mum and daughter were raving about the mushrooms in tempura batter with lime and ginger dip and sesame and soy dip, so I decided to try some and, oh boy, the chef (Trudy?) has the most amazing palate - it was delicious! The combination of flavours, textures and tastes really do indicate a brilliant chef, who is to be complimented for her amazing work - it truly is the standard approaching a Michelin starred eatery. Even the chicken in garlic and white wine sauce came with skinny chips and was a mini meal in itself and these things combined, it was probably the best £10.95 any of us has ever spent in a restaurant! We left after all having desserts, including a sherry trifle pannacotta, cheesecake chocolate brownie and raspberry and white chocolate roulade, all of which were perfection. A very happy visit, which led to us revisiting a few days later to have the selection of 6 pintxos with paired sherry for £14.95 - another amazing, tasty bargain and delight. The service was excellent, efficient and friendly, and the selection of drinks reasonable and extensive. No wonder this restaurant is rated FIRST out of the 48 in Portrush - it totally deserves it and no one who visits the area should miss out on a meal here.

Unexpected taste of Spain in Northern Ireland -- it was incredible -- wine, sangria, tapas -- nothing I wouldn't have again! Dishes were well presented & generous! The staff were great & husband(host)/wife(chef) are obviously a great team! Can't wait to visit again <3

I think Google lost my review, but anyway. had a great meal here or more accurately lots of little meals. I enjoyed them all and it was a good mix of spanish and Irish ingredients. I'll be back for further exploration of the menu.
