I held a fundraising event in the restaurant when I shaved my hair for cancer and I met a lovely bunch of people there. Jimmy, Marion, Diane and Richard couldn't have done any more for me if they tried. Their bar staff were so friendly and I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone for anything at all. Everyone had a fantastic night. So if you're looking for that special place for anything at all that's the place to go. Thanks so much to u all ���

My husband and I were at the Village Tavern on Sunday for lunch.... I must say the carvery was excellent and very reasonably priced! Also the staff were very helpful! Will definitely be back again!
Been here to eat twice in past month and I start by saying I was made very welcome the staff are first class service is second to none very helpful and the food is excellent and I mean excellent and it's reasonably price 10/10 for me and I will definitely be back to the tavern thanks and keep up the good work🖒🖒🖒

Decided to call into village tavern for lunch on the way through. We were greeted with a friendly welcome and shown to our seats. The server was most pleasant, and after a lengthy chat I discovered he was the proprietor. Food was excellent, especially the pepper sauce, really something!!! Our meal was very reasonably priced and there was plenty of it. 2 mains 2 desserts and 4 soft drinks 32 pounds. Overall a lovely experience indeed and I wish Daniel and the team every success for the future. God willing we will return soon.
Had the carvery today in the resturant and can easily say it was the best carvery I have ever had. Lovely friendly helpful staff also
The food was excellent. Quite possibly the best cod and chips I have ever had. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I can't wait to return.
Fish was in lovely crispy batter and full of fish, the steak sandwich was so tasty. Staff extremely knowledgable and pleasant. Lovely surroundings, comfortable. Def worth a visit.
This was our first time in this place. We had two fish and chips plus a chilli chicken pitta. The food and service excellent. Homely, we will be back again
