Decided to call into village tavern for lunch on the way through. We were greeted with a friendly welcome and shown to our seats. The server was most pleasant, and after a lengthy chat I discovered he was the proprietor. Food was excellent, especially the pepper sauce, really something!!! Our meal w

The food was excellent. Quite possibly the best cod and chips I have ever had. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I can't wait to return.
Fish was in lovely crispy batter and full of fish, the steak sandwich was so tasty. Staff extremely knowledgable and pleasant. Lovely surroundings, comfortable. Def worth a visit.
This was our first time in this place. We had two fish and chips plus a chilli chicken pitta. The food and service excellent. Homely, we will be back again
