I had the pleasure of dining at this exceptional restaurant, and I must say it was a truly remarkable experience. I'd like to give it a very positive review.

Today i was travelling from London visiting Colchester. After i had finished my business i decided to have a bite to eat.
Upon arrival i was served and greeted by Kumar, young man working very hard. He seated me quickly. It is a hot summers day so i requested for the AC which he turned on for me.
The food was good, i ordered chicken tikka for starters, butter chicken and rice, the total came to £21.48. I also asked for a glass of water with ice which was on the house.
The starters came quickly, the chicken was nice and juicy. Followed by my butter chicken and rice. The butter chicken was as i expected, i have a big apetite and i like to eat a lot. Maybe my butter chicken was 1 or 2 pieces of chicken short, but ok. The rice was nice and fluffy as i expected it.
I wanted to order more food, i like starters in particular Tandoori King Prawn. Looking at the menu i noticed the prices, everything was a little bit expensive in my opinion. Tandoori King Prawn was almost £20, boiled rice was £4. I think the listed prices for an Indian Restaurant in Colchester is a bit too much. Prices were more expensive than London prices.
I also enquired about Halal. They have stickers all across the shop front and menu with the halal logo. I thought i ask about their certification, i was informed there is no certification on site unfortunately. However i was reassured their chicken is bought from Noori Halal butchers in East Ham, East London. The front of their menu did also mention 'Paradise Biriyani Pointe' in East Ham, part of a franchise. I was eventually convinced they did serve Halal meat.
Otherwise the food was good, Kumar did his best to accomodate me and answer all my questions. This was going to be a 3 star experience but it turned out to be a 4 thanks to Kumars hospitality.
However i think the management definitely need to adjust their prices, too expensive.

Like their Dum biriyani; little bit spicy.
Tandoori chicken was different as well. But I didn’t like it in small piece. When I order whole chicken I like to have it in 4 pieces, not smaller than that.
Soup was bit plain. They could add some corn flour and egg. Chicken in the soup was not looking fresh.
Masala tea was good.
Also didn’t like the idea of service charge.
Overall nice experience.
By far the best Indian restaurant in Colchester, serving authentic Indian cuisine. The food was superb and the staff very helpful and friendly. I've been waiting for something like this for a long time and will certainly be visiting regularly. Vegetarian choice fantastic!
Food is at the heart of this restaurant; the rich flavours, fresh ingredients and fantastic textures. The best spinach I've had in decades! As if it has been harvested from their own garden. I couldn't recommend it more, such a phenomenal space in Colchester should be celebrated.
This was an excellent experience. I could never forget the delicious food and the aromatic atmosphere. The price was amazingly cheap but there was no lose in quality. This is a must if you like traditional Indian cuisine
Good food with cool service - worth trying this one if you are around and looking for authentic indian food with a pinch of South.
Good to try - chicken tangri kabab, mirchy bajji , lemon soda , mango lassi , chicken curry with dosa, Briyani
Lamb chops , fried lolly pop could have been better

Otherwise great service for a big group of 20 - the guys were cool and made our visit memorable, will visit again.
This is the original and authentic Indian restaurant I would like to say original flavour of Indian food service is five star. The food was great, freshly cooked very tasty, well presented and service overall was good. A good meal and great value we will certainly be going back.
A fine authentic Indian restaurant in the Essex county. Friendly staff, Great value for the price. One must try their Dum chicken biryani, it is so mouthwatering.
I went to school in South India when I was young and still miss good South Indian food. The Masala Dosa was one of my favourites - we heard that the ' Curry Leaves ' made a good one, and it was really good. There could have been a bit more filling in the crispy pancake, though. Service was polite but intermittent- we were the only customers at 5.30. My partner's house wine was awful. I complained and they changed it for something nice. The atmosphere was a bit tired (especially the outside which needed a paint). All in all it was worth going just for the dosa....

The overall experience was good. We have been extremely satisfied with the service we have received from the staff.
When it comes to the food, I have to say that it was absolutely delicious. To have a true taste of Indian cuisine, it is always best to use curry leaves.
There were two starters we ordered, one tandoori platter and one chilli chicken, and we loved both of them. During our main course, we ordered kadahi chicken, chana masala, and paneer butter masala, again there are no words to describe how good these foods were.
Lastly, we had deserts, and to tell you the truth, we tried almost all the deserts and they were all absolutely delicious.
The first thing that I will recommend to everyone is to go there once and especially those who have just came out of India. They should go there if they wish to get the proper taste of Indian food and try it out.
The person who was attending us was a guy from Maharashtra India.I do not know the name of the man, but the service he provided was excellent. 😊😊🍺
Outstanding food and drink. I’ve been coming here regularly for a couple of years and it never disappoints. I highly recommend the masala dosa and chilli mushroom, but their curries are equally delicious. I would like to give particular commendation to Raj, who provides excellent service and good conversation. Easily the best Indian restaurant in Colchester!

Authentic Indian food made freshly with smile on the servers face! Can recommend anytime, if fancy an affordable and great food near the town center!
I went with my wife and daughter to Curry Leaves on a Saturday evening Food was delicious and portions were large, Raj kindly packed it up for us, so we got to sample the delightful flavours again at home on Sunday. Raj, our waiter was amazing, explained some of the dishes to us and delivered excellent service all evening.
Authentic Indian food which everyone must try in Colchester. It was really a great lunch we had after a long time, they cook every dish to perfection. Simply, splendid. My compliments to the chef and staff (Avinash).
The food at Curry Leaves restaurant was full of flavour, no holding back on any spice and good portion sizes. The whole dining experience has a homely feel and there’s no rushing anything…but it was worth the wait! My family had a delicious meal for a very reasonable price.
Amazing food and great customer service given by Raj and his team. Would also appreciate the chef, because we reached the restaurant at a closing time as we were unaware of the timings, still they did not disappoint us and took the order and gave us excellent customer service.
