Cracking chippy found on the Willows estate in Colchester. The battered fish or sausage and burger is always good and they make great chips. I’ve never tried the chicken but that looks good too. Very friendly and helpful staff. They recommend me to go for The Lite-Bite fish and chips (which was the cheaper option) than a small portion as I said I didn't want to much because I would waste it. The potion size was prefect. They even accommodated for a northern with gravy.
Best chips we have had in a long time, best in Colchester, fresh crisp and fluffy inside. The half chicken and ribs are highly recommended. Can’t wait to go back and sample the cod which looked just as good. Will definitely be going here again and recommending to others. Very polite and friendly

Used fish and chicken for an order of 29 people. Food arrived piping hot and delicious. Alex and team were friendly efficient and easy to deal with. Everyone commented on how lovely the fish and chips were. Thank you very much.
A real gem of a place! Ordered large chips, medium cod & a pot of peas. Oh goodness do these people know how to cook food great! Chef Bill did the battered cod. What ever you do don't give up the day job Bill! Have been to some places in Colchester & not one knows how to cook cod in batter properly!
Fantastic customer service, the atmosphere between the staff and customers is friendly and engaging. The chips are almost always brown, depending on the season and potato. Never been disappointed with the batter on my rock, as it should be.
First time at this place tonight. Had cod and chips, sausage and chips, mushy peas and gravy, absolutely fantastic. What topped it off was the bbq ribs, omg delicious. Highly recommended and will be returning for sure
10/10 for customer service. Super friendly and polite. Food is always fresh and hot. I would consider this one of Colchester’s best fish and chips. The quality has never wavered throughout the years.
Best fish and chips in Colchester. I've tried a few, and these are superb. Get the lite lunch, it's perfect. Not too much, just right, and a bargain.
Really enjoyed the fish and chips here, the fish was perfectly battered, the staff were friendly and super helpful (went next door to get more chairs coz there were a few of us).
I have been using Fish and Chicken for almost 10 year, absolutely spot on and great fish and chips, the fish I fried fresh to order which is perfect. But more importantly they offer Gluten free Mondays-Wednesdays.
Really great Fish n chips for SEVENTY people for the After Oyster Feast in Colchester. Lovely chips. Tasty crispy batter and flakey cod. Bravo!
