Doga Restaurant - Colchester - Photo album

First visit to restaurant after a number of takeaways, and we were generally very impressed. The restaurant was busy on a Friday evening, which underlines the popularity of this venue, warm welcome from staff. The food was delicious. A number of the staff appeared to be inexperienced which is very c
Enjoyed a lovely family lunch yesterday, it is one of the most comfortable dining experiences I've had in Colchester. The lunch set menu is very good value for good quality food and generous portions. Really enjoyed the kunefe dessert. Warm owner and polite staff. I'd say it was the best Turkish foo
Fantastic food. Thoroughly enjoyed that. However, service wasn't brilliant! It felt like we were inconveniencing one of the servers. Saving grace is the tiramisu, which is gorgeous. Honestly, it's worth the grumpy server.
Lovely family restaurant. Busy, so best book in advance especially on the weekend. We had a lovely meal, there is something for everyone, even my fussy teenagers finished their plates. The staff were friendly, the owner took time to chat to each table which was a lovely gesture not often seen nowd
Amazing food and great value for money. This is THE best Turkish in Colchester without a doubt. Loved the music in here too. All meat is halal. Must try!
Quite simply the best restaurant in Colchester by far. The food is excellent, service is great. The prices are very reasonable and it was great to see it busy on a wet Sunday evening too. Colchester needs more family run restaurants like this. If you haven’t been to Doga go, and if you have, go agai
This is one of my favourite places to eat in Colchester at any time of day! The restaurant itself is decorated beautifully, the staff are really attentive and service is very fast, and the food!!! It is the best food you will find in Colchester, big portions, good prices and it tastes incredible! Th
Fresh, hot and super tasty. Lovely cosy environment and the waitress and owner were very accommodating and chatty. The food was delicious and came out quick and the food menu is extensive. We will definitely be going back.
Absolutely delicious ❤️. Fresh, quality ingredients, good atmosphere, nothing to fault about this place. Give this place a try if you want some authentic Turkish flavours.
Wow. Randomly found on a holiday. Ate the hot starter sharer mix which was yummy. Then had butter chicken, wow what a dish! Packed full of flavour and the chicken was so tender. Followed this by Kunefe for dessert. Scrummy. Service attentive but not too in your face. Great find.
The food was really fantastic, I had the Iskender and my partner had the Kleftiko (Lamb shank). Really delicious and beautifully presented. The home made rice pudding was so good too, with grated pistachio on top. The place was really clean and nice and staff were very friendly. Really want to go ba
Another lovely meal at this amazing restaurant. Could not fault the food or the service. He Kleftico is to die for. Only down side were the noisy party behind us.
Very happy with the quality of produce and skill of the cuisine here: highly recommended….
Excellent service, excellent food also halal food. Would recommend and will visit again
Great food and great service. Great mixed grill and chicken shish.
Great food in a comfortable setting. Not sure about the 80s music at high volume from tinny speakers though. An enjoyable dinner nonetheless.
Just ordered a yoghurt lamb shish takeaway. Meat and sauce were superb. Smokey and tender. The chips and Sigara Boregi also tasted great (although a bit cold). Very big portion. Can’t wait to eat in at some point.
