I came into the Yew tree for breakfast this morning and ordered the Berry Brioche. It was delicious and I would definitely recommend it for a lighter breakfast option. Service was quick too. Next time I visit I will definitely be eating in the lovely garden.

My family and I went here for my brothers birthday in September, the staff made us more than welcome, they saw it was my brothers birthday so they went above and beyond, the dessert he ordered they made it extra special wrote happy birthday in chocolate, sang happy birthday to him. The pub is clean, food very good, lovely atmosphere, would well recommend. Parking is easy. All round good country pub.

Sat in the beautiful garden today which is dog friendly. I loved the non alcoholic elderflower cocktail refreshing on a hot day. Staff really nice. Food was lovely only downfall they ran out of gluten free bread but they gave me fresh vegetables instead and it worked really well.

We had a lovely time here with our family, staff provided colouring books to keep the kids entertained, service was good, just abit slow to clear up after we ate but they might have been short staffed. Food was lovely, my wife’s beef roast was out of this world. The meat just fell off the bone, I had the steak pie which was also nice however it could have done with abit more filling over than that was nice. Dessert was unreal the sticky toffee pudding was cake like and with the custard it was perfect. It was really nice that they had the fire on too which made it feel nice and cosy on a Sunday lunch time. We will definitely be returning. Keep it up.

We booked ahead and the communication was excellent. We were a large party of 15 and we pre ordered and again the order was checked upon arrival. All the staff were great and nothing was too much trouble, its nice to have staff that are not only attentive buy also can have a laugh. The food was great and everything came out as it should. Would I go back and would I recommend then the answer is yes absolutely

Great pub, seeped in history , originally 2 farm labourers cottages dating back to 1640. Changed to a coaching Inn in the 1800s with the later addition of a wonderful dining area. The interior is a knockout with ancient beams everywhere. Decent selection of beers and the service was attentive and prompt. Damien, the manager was a mine if information and we will return to sample the food which looked tasty. The toilets were spacious and spotless so all good.

Food was excellent. Waiters were very friendly but sequencing wasn’t quite right. Breads and oil came out with the starters, rather than before and coffee came out just before the deserts. All waiters were attentive and friendly, served by Josh.

Only popped in briefly but lots of people having meals on a Wednesday afternoon which is a good sign. Clean and tidy, looks like a return trip will be in order.

Stopped here for late lunch. We shared a sqid starter. Delicious and tender. And a very tasty chicken and ham hock pie for main. Very generous portion. Loved the pastry too. Tina was very welcoming and very attentive.
