We visited the store today for hot chocolate in the café and the experience was 5 star as always! The staff are always so kind to my son, making him a small hot chocolate and giving him some ice cream when he was upset. We were served by Chloe - thank you so much!
Staff at Colchester branch were brilliant, really helpful & friendly. The staff member who helped me with my velvetiser 'birthday treat' purchase yesterday was so attentive and knowledgeable and made sure I was completely happy with my purchase. Fantastic service all round and just shows that good customer service really does go a long way. I will definitely be returning and very happy to recommend. Just a shame I never managed to ask her name.
This has been a great safe haven for us at lunchtime, we would have a choco shake , and the staff are extremely nice! would visit again and again! the products are very nicely laid out and easy to move around. its a shame there are not as many dark chocolate variants in the range

I take my toddler here as a treat and she loves it. They make her little hot chocolate just right and always so friendly and welcoming.
I went in to buy a nice classy chocolate gift and discovered it has a really nice coffee shop too. So I had a latte and thoroughly enjoyed not only the drink but the relaxed atmosphere and friendly service.
Clean, welcoming shop, good for a quick drink and the best chocolate. What's not to like?
Staff are always friendly and helpful. We normally go in to sit and enjoy one of their amazing hot chocolates. It is a lovely place to sit. Have always felt welcome with my son. The staff were always supportive when I was breastfeeding and chat to my son now that he is older.
Brilliant experience yesterday. Went in to buy a gift, Jackie was extremely helpful in not only finding the right thing but the perfect accompaniments too. She even helped me to get discount on my purchase! Really impressed and will definitely be back 😀
Absolutely fantastic customer service everytime we visit. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, especially with my young daughter, and we are always greeted with a smile. The cafe is clean and tidy and the tables are spaced apart well to maintain social distancing. The cafe menu is great with seasonal drinks clearly displayed and the staff are very accomodating of special requests such as smaller drinks suitable for younger ones. The shop is always well stocked and staff are always happy to give recommendations of products or to help locate something particular. I would highly recommend!

First visit to hotel Chocolat and couldn’t be more impressed. Jacky was so kind and caring and took so much time in helping us, even made us drinks so we could try the hot chocolate before buying. We bought the drinks maker and couldn’t recommend it enough. Thanks again!
Had an amazing customer service experience first time me and my partner visited earlier this month. The products and the in-house cocoa products are of very high quality, fresh qnd ethically sourced, which i admire to full extent. The staff are very friendly and helpful and even gave us a little extra pack of chocolate on our way out. Will definitely use them again.
