Excellent service & varied lunch menu that seems to change regularly. Staff are attentive to customer's needs. All in all a superb lunch venue helping to preserve one of Colchester's Jewels. Great place to browse for the more unusual & personal gifts or just a treat to oneself, from any of the many stalls within.

Cosy, bohemian place for a cup of hot chocolate and homemade cakes. With a nice vintage/ethnic/handmade goods market.

I like going for a coffee and something to eat in this nostalgic cafe as there is a nice sense of community amongst vintage traders and I always feel welcome. It helps me to take a step away from the corporate retail environment and takes me back to memory lane.

Fell in love with it from the first moment, although, I have to say, I prefer to sit outside when I'm there and take in the view. Soooo relaxing. I'm not impressed with the coffee, really, but I appreciate everything else. The hot chocolate is great.

Excellent little cafe and indoor vintage market. Run by a social enterprise that helps unemployed young people access training, employment and mentoring. Has evening and special events. Also serves Tapas. Heritage site with plenty to learn about Colchester's rich history with connections to Nelson and Dr William Gilberd (also known as William Gilbert), the "father of electricity and magnetism" and medical advisor to Queen Elizabeth I. Indoor market has several traders providing an eclectic selection of ethnic products (Moroccan and Nepalese), vintage clothing, furniture, jewellery, vinyl, books and much more.
