Excellent service & varied lunch menu that seems to change regularly. Staff are attentive to customer's needs. All in all a superb lunch venue helping to preserve one of Colchester's Jewels. Great place to browse for the more unusual & personal gifts or just a treat to oneself, from any of the many stalls within.
Best value for lunch in Colchester. I would recommend Baked Beans on toast ( brown bread of course ! )
This is an amazing find in Colchester beautiful coffee and settings and an amazing cause ! Lovely people and completely child friendly :)
A beautiful and elegant café, situated in the heart of colchester. The food is fantastic and the staff are delightful. One of the best café experiences I have had in a long time. I will be going back
Lovely peaceful place to be in for a cuppa in the sunshine
Fantastic food and very prompt service for a Saturday lunch time, lovely atmosphere :)
My fav person works in there very nice food complements to the chef
Friendly people , great service and good food
home of the famous best cheese scones in town - the breakfast choice of all rockstars!
Fantastic helping the homeless, especially when it's so bitter outside. Lovely people
Cosy, bohemian place for a cup of hot chocolate and homemade cakes. With a nice vintage/ethnic/handmade goods market.
Great idea, nice efficient staff, great food, there's a family area, plus the Vintage Market, a gem.
I like going for a coffee and something to eat in this nostalgic cafe as there is a nice sense of community amongst vintage traders and I always feel welcome. It helps me to take a step away from the corporate retail environment and takes me back to memory lane.
Great quirky place and my mums bracelets and blankets are good too xx
Delicious coffee, lovely people, and great stalls with some fab products for sale - a hidden gem that I'll be returning to as soon as I can!
Free wifi, coffee, best homemade cakes in town, great vintage books, clothing etc, and I always feel welcome, what's not to like
Love it in here, havent been in awhile but really friendly service and great finds
Fell in love with it from the first moment, although, I have to say, I prefer to sit outside when I'm there and take in the view. Soooo relaxing. I'm not impressed with the coffee, really, but I appreciate everything else. The hot chocolate is great.
Excellent little cafe and indoor vintage market. Run by a social enterprise that helps unemployed young people access training, employment and mentoring. Has evening and special events. Also serves Tapas. Heritage site with plenty to learn about Colchester's rich history with connections to Nelson and Dr William Gilberd (also known as William Gilbert), the "father of electricity and magnetism" and medical advisor to Queen Elizabeth I. Indoor market has several traders providing an eclectic selection of ethnic products (Moroccan and Nepalese), vintage clothing, furniture, jewellery, vinyl, books and much more.
Community work at its best and a blinking great venue to boot.
Lovely food and great market!
Pay It Forward meals for the homeless is a brilliant idea.
Great atmospheric old church. Indoor market. Nice food & staff. Well worth visiting.
Amazing cafe, doing amazing work. This is a MUST visit in Colchester if you want a break and a cuppa.
