The Christian atmosphere really encircles the place with love, and that comes over in the way the staff serve the customers.
The food is great, the prices are great too.
All in all a fantastic place to stop and relax. This is my second time there, and I reckon it won't be my last.

Thanks to Susie and her team for helping me and Cheryl arrange a fantastic afternoon tea baby shower for Alison. Nothing was too much trouble even though we had a lot of dietary requirements. I would highly recommend this venue if anyone else is thinking of arranging a similar event!

This is a great space to meet and catch up. It's a relaxed comfortable place that serves yummy toasted sandwiches (other varieties are available!! �) and a good selection of drinks.... Ooh and cake! Don't forget the cake!
Lovely yummy food (the gingerbread & cupcakes are a hit with our 2 children!) & always welcoming! Especially the lovely Susie! Definitely recommend! Xx

First visit this afternoon and loved it! I had a yummy cream tea which was excellent value, but the best part were the lovely staff. Will definately be back thank you

Popped in for a coffee and snack as Tescos no longer has a restaurant while waiting for an eye test !! A real surprise to ring they had Gluten Free options on menu �. Great food with superb service. So definitely be back.

Lovely atmosphere and delicious food and drinks at great prices. Also offers a loyalty card scheme that is definitely worth doing. There is also lots of little fairtrade/handmade products available to buy so great to browse while enjoying coffee :)

A lovely calm atmosphere my friend and I had a lovelyBLT SANDWICH which was very good my friend had a prawn sandwich stuffed with prawns over all it was a lovely experience and have said we will go again
Had a thoroughly delicious lunch here. Good, friendly service with a smile and really tasty food. Will be back soon and can definitely recommend the Oak Tree to anyone who likes good food for reasonable prices.

Lovely coffee shop affiliated to St. Lukes church. Polite friendly and helpful staff. Service good. Located in Highwoods next to Tesco . Some pleasant views. Convenient for the bus service approx 100m away.
Really well managed with social distancing and cleanliness. They were really accommodating with dietary requirements. The Brie and red onion panini was A1 and the chocolate muffin was 🤤. Really friendly staff. Would recommend you go there. 👍🏼

Have been in a few times for a drink and food and have always been very impressed. Staff are very friendly and engaging.

Food portions are big and taste amazing
Great social distancing measures, it felt really safe and yet still friendly, the food was delicious as always. I highly recommend the goats cheese and red onion chutney panini. The smoothies and frappes are great on hot days.
Had afternoon tea with friends lovely staff couldn't do enough for us, food was lovely value for money. Only thing that was disappointing was the hot drinks weren't hot they were warm every time

Lock down 3.0 19th July 2021. Most Covid regulations in England are repealed today. The Oak Tree Coffee House is a community venture created by St Luke's Church in Colchester Essex. Thank you Pastor. Many of the staff, baristas, managers and Pastor volunteer in the Oak Tree. Enjoy your teas, coffees, cakes, sandwiches and toasts. My favourite pastry is Brioche Fruit Scone served with butter and Wilkins marmalade. Mouthwatering, delicious. Afternoon Tea is available in the Oak Tree Cafe. A delicious selection of finger sandwiches, fruit scone, or cheese scone, four different cakes, and unlimited drinks. Good menu and services. April 2022. Congratulations to all the staff, managers, volunteers and Pastor Hannah Cooper for the hard work. Oak Tree Coffee House has been shortlisted for the national Sammies Award 2022. All the best. One of my favourite cafes in Colchester. The staff and volunteers are friendly and helpful and there's a really good range of food. The Traidcraft and handmade craft shop there is a good place to buy cards and gifts.
