Lovely little pub on the river. We visited for a Sunday roast - reasonable price for a huge portion and good food. Admittedly, it wasn't the best roast meat I've had (I had beef, husband had lamb - the lamb was definitely nicer!) but would still definitely visit for a roast dinner and to try their ordinary dinner menu. Also dog friendly which is a massive bonus for us!

Lovely country feel to the pub nice seating of tables for 6 along a river setting which is nicely light for summer outdoor evening meals which is what we popped along for after a recommendation given. They had a few great guest ciders on and a superb couple of red wines by the glass but I’m sure they do more. Overall a great value pub with quality home feel food and drinks where we were made to feel very welcome even if with our big nervous dog.

We only had drinks, so we can not review the food. Great pub with outdoor seating with the river running alongside your seats. Lovely pub to spend a relaxing evening. Socialising with friends. Staff all very cheerful, great choice of beers.

Food lovely and good size portions for the price you pay. Staff in the week days are generally nice although not that keen on the weekend staff who can't even be bothered to say hello, whilst leaving you waiting to be served Atmosphere is only low as due to the very hot weather most people were outside by the river, which look lively. we sat inside which was quite but this was our choice. would go again purely for how nice the food is.

Popped in with my husband and child. Sat by the river, fed the Swan and ducks and had a wonderful dinner!. Small play area for children. Very pleasant staff. Nice selection of real ales. Only thing I could fault, was the litter around the play area and broken glass outside seating area had not been cleared up this afternoon and we were there a good 2hrs. Don't let that put you off as I'm sure it's not normally like that.

Make sure you book if you're eating because it gets busy, and once you've eaten here you'll know why! Excellent food served by friendly, helpful staff and a comfortable, cosy place. Thoroughly recommended.

Lovely pub serving delicious food! The beer garden is along the side of an idyllic little stream and it has fast become one of our favourite spots!

Lovely pub! Highly recommend Sunday roast - great selection of traditional Sunday lunch dishes. I had a nut roast which was super tasty. One thing to bear in mind - their Yorkshire puddings are massive (in a good way)

Stopped here for some lunch. The sun was out so ate by the river. There is a good selection on the menu. I had a burger with caramelized onions and brie which was really good. Staff were helpful and friendly. The carpark is quiet small and often busy but there is a pay and display carpark not too far up the road on the high street with the entrance signed posted and opposite 'Barber Shop'.

Excellent meals and wonderful service. The only reason for the lower rating for atmosphere was because we visited midweek at lunchtime so the restaurant was quiet, but I've been to the Tavern many times and at weekends and evenings the atmosphere is always welcoming and friendly.

Right on the river! So much so you can feed the ducks from the tables. Little park out the back for the kids. They serve food but I haven't tried it just yet. Update: Popped back in today to grab some food, sadly it wasn't very nice for me. I had the burger and chips and my friend had the home made steak and ale pie and he loved it. Mixed review.

Great Pub alongside the river! Been here a few times with people from work! Good home cooked food with friendly service! Worth booking to reserve a table as it can get busy! Some places manage to do the simple things well, this is one of those places! 👍

The food was excellent, and the staff were very friendly. Service is at the bar but the food came very quickly. The only small problem is the car park. It was quite small and although there was instructions where else to park, the roads outside were very bendy and had double yellow lines.
