I am very fussy about my Italian espresso and picky about cakes too but...I have found a new Coffee Heaven! Espresso that are as good as real Italian or more and the best cakes I have ever seen, tasted and digested! Excellent surroundings of re-loved material, real flowers everywhere, even in the toilets, charming manners by the staff and a hot chocolate good enough to revive a dead Italian...ME!! Long live Coastal Caffee!!

Stopped by for lunch and had an excellent sandwich here. Cooked to order and hand prepared by the chef. I had the Ham Foccacia and would recommend it to anyone! Would definitely return when back in Mersea.

These guys have taught me about decent coffee. The difference between them and a large chain coffee shop is unreal. Beautiful coffee and hard working and friendly staff, can't go wrong

The cafe is cosy and intimate, a pleasant space to sit and chat. The service is quick, owing to a first rate barista, and the coffee is very good. I will visit again soon and hope the sun is out, so I can sit outside.

A group of 8 of us went to the Burns Supper held on Friday evening. What a great evening . Welcomed with a gin cocktail, 5 courses with a whisky to toast the haggis. Brilliant atmosphere. Thank you.

A Lovely Find: Coastal Coffee Following a disappointing encounter at the Island Art Cafe, we chanced upon Coastal Coffee. It was a much-needed change of pace. The ambiance was relaxed, and the staff were friendly and attentive. We opted for smoothies, a sausage roll and club sandwich. All were very tasty and well-prepared, meeting our hopes for a good meal. Though we didn’t try the coffee, the inviting aroma suggests it's worth a try on our next visit. All in all, Coastal Coffee was a pleasant surprise in our day, and we’d recommend giving it a visit if you’re in the area.

After a disappointing attempt to get breakfast elsewhere in West Mersea, we ended up here having noticed it on the drive in. We were chasing some breakfast despite the time being almost 12pm. These guys said on their menu that breakfast orders finished at 11.30am but were more than happy to accomodate us. Smashing good cappuccinos, generously filled bacon and sausage, super fresh, tasty baguettes. Recommend! Generous portion, very fresh, friendly, helpful staff. I'll be back here again. Thank you! Lovely experience!

Nice little coffee shop, good selection of choices for a lunch. Looked clean and staff were very friendly. Selection of cakes looked very nice but was too full to try one after lunch. Soup was very nice. Good quality coffee too.

A cosy and convenient spot with outdoor seating and the option of ordering via an app. I had a most enormous sausage roll for only £3.50.

Fantastic new coffee shop in the centre of West Mersea. Great view of the high street leading down to the waterfront. (I had the Avocado, Tomato, Rocket and Pesto samdwich - SO good) GOOD - Great prices for food, very nice coffee, good choice of Vegetarian and Vegan food as well, food is quick, (I think a disabled accessible toilet), also has outdoor seating. OKAY - / BAD - / All around is a great place to go, friendly staff, great place, convenient.
