Very good dining experience! Areas for improvement: -The pie crust was a little soggy, I would prefer it crusty. -We ordered a brownie, the kids brownie came out (they changed the bill to a kids brownie afterwards, no problem). -Fish, had a few bones in it. Completely understand fish have bones, but nowadays most people expect fish from fish and chips to be boneless. Don't really want to be sieving through the fish before I eat it. -We were seated around the corner and only checked up on after the food was finished. Felt a bit ignored. All being said. The chefs were very friendly. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the young lad who originally served us was friendly and relaxed. The food was overall very good. I will definitely be going back. Thank you

We had lunch at the Cricketers, we didn't book but they had some tables, although quite a few were reserved - within a few mins of being there it got fairly busy. Taking orders took a while, likely to do with it being so busy - and as we was on a quick lunch break we ordered at the bar to speed things along a little. Food didn't take overly long to come after ordering, and cutlery turned up shortly after the food as well. Food was simple and nice, and the pint went down well with it. I had the butchers sausages baguette, and the wife had a chicken wrap. Both meals came with chips, so we didn't go hungry! Would perhaps come again, but perhaps for an evening meal. If visiting and fancy a walk - there are also plenty of nice walks nearby to walk off the food / drink!

I go to The Cricketers each time I stay in the area on business, never disappointed. Staff are amazing, friendly and welcoming. The food is always spot on, never had a bad meal, really excellent. If you are in the vicinity, treat yourself to a visit.

This is gonna hurt me to say but I found this place very nice.....for a green king chian pub clearly this place is run by someone who knows what they are doing...service was outstanding food was good and staff are on top of everything...... god that hurt....the pub itself is lovely with a big beer garden and plenty of parking it wheelchair accessible with plenty of room inside.....unfortunately I will have to return the this pub as I found it to be great.....other green king pubs take note

Fabulous meal. They made us gluten free onion rings which were really lovely and nicely presented as a starter on some salad. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Busy but did not wait overly long for meal. Will definitely be back if we are in the area. Highly recommend

I met some colleagues for dinner and overall it was good. We were ignored by the waitresses and had to ask to have our other taken. However the service from this point forward was good and the waitress was lovely.

Absolutely perfect. Stuck in traffic and the manager said I could park up the night in his car park as I was running out of drive time. Had a meal and it’s one of the best meals I’ve ever had. If I’m ever down this way again I will definitely pop in for another meal. Thank you so much.

A lovely pub, with a brilliant selection of gluten free and allergy accommodating food. The food was good, not 5 star, but absolutely nothing worth complaining about and would definitely eat again. The service however we received from our original waiter was extremely poor, he mad a very distasteful joke to a family member after they requested an alcohol free wine, and proceeded to be very blasé in his attitude and demeanour. Not a care about his customer service and almost ruined the experience. Though, our others servers were brilliant (without them the service would have had 1 star) and luckily after placing the initial order, we were no longer served by this young man.

Our paty of 10 retired old men were handled efficientky and politely. We had to order in advance but were able to pay seperately which was good. Everyone seemed happy with their food. I had steak and kidney pudding which was vey nice. Lots of gravy which was great but did not taste as good as the pud. We were all to full for pudding. It was quite busy for an Octobrr Thursday.

Staying locally at a chain hotel. Walked here for a evening meal - really good. The pub is well laid out and roomy. The staff were very pleasant and friendly. The meals were excellent and really good value. Very well presented, very well cooked and served with no delay! After the meal, retired to a very pleasant outdoor area to enjoy a bottle of Malbec. Super!!
