Always a good experience at the Britannia, it's a great idea to have one set meal for everyone which changes daily. They cook it fresh with seasonal produce making the food really good, they will keep topping up the dishes to make sure you are well fed and they are obviously passionate about offering great food. The service is always good and it's a reasonable price. Plenty of parking available and a separate bar and restaurant.

One of, if not, my favourite restaurant since I was introduced to it 5 years ago. The owners are all really nice too and at least one of them can always been seen working in the bar and restaurant

Dining made easy. One set meal with a starter, main and dessert. The servings are a good size with great flavours and the staff are very friendly and attentive. Worth visiting particularly as it's outside the city centre.

This restaurant has very high quality food at a very reasonable price. The service is absolutely brilliant. The owner took the time to explain what the food was and also offer us more if we wanted. It is served as a 3 course set menu on a platter. We can't say thank you enough and look forward to visiting again! The waitress has the best manners ever.

One of the best places to get Nepali food in Colchester, lamb momo dumplings and goat curry are a personal favourite! Highly recommend to all my friends!

We have visited the Britannia a number of times. Great value for money and fantastic staff. They always go out of their way for you.
Itās a set menu and they come over and ask if thereās are any allergies and if anyone is vegetarian. They then tell you what is on the menu. If you want seconds or more of anything itās never a problem. The restaurant has a great atmosphere.
We have been on our own as a couple and with the family. The kids love it and the staff are always friendly and engaging with them.
Tonight we ordered a takeaway for the first time. Which was fantastic. Loads of flavour and portions were a good size.
On another note the āGolden Everestā lager beer is the best.
Visited tonight and I can only say - wow. Great food, great service, lovely atmosphere. So welcoming, and the whole set menu concept is wonderfully relaxing - you don't have to agonise over a menu choice, simply enjoy what they put in front of you! Portions were ample, and we were offered more if we wanted. Staff were delightful and service was super quick! We could not have felt more welcome. We will be back!
We ate here and it was very good. If you like mild but flavoursome curry (IE 90% of the UK) then you'll like this, reminds me a really good quality homemade Curry's. Its a set price for a three course meal and you can have as much of the main dishes as you like. Dessert was a very english sponge cake and custard which was an unexpected treat.
The bar side itself is a contrast being a loud local boozer. No ale though but that's usual in places with spicy food as the smell can taint the beer.
