Best local chip shop around. I have never had bad service or bad food. It's slways amazing on every level. Staff work very hard and the food tastes amazing.
Fabulous to find a lovely fish and chips shop in Coggeshall only a 5 minute walk from the Woolpack Inn where we are staying. The cod for £9 was huge so you can imagine what the large one for £11 was like. Large amount for chips for £4 which we covered in salt as well as the obligatory malt vinegar. The cod roe was large too for £3.
Worthwhile visiting which we are pleased we did as the inn was not serving good on Sunday night when we arrived.
First time there today picking up some lunch. Wow!!! fantastic friendly fish and chip shop. The line caught haddock was out of this world, and the chips cooked to perfection. The homemade tartar sauce was delightful as well. Will return for sure.
Just had my first fish and chips from this chip shop as I'm new to the area.
The food was outstanding. So fresh and tasty ! ... and the staff are friendly and polite .. delicious!
Lovely bit of fish, we were allowed to sit in and given a plastic knife and fork with salt and vinegar to eat them with. I don't live in Essex so don't pay as much, but £10 for a decent sized Haddock and chips didn't make me feel ripped off.

Popped in as restaurant I intended to visit was
closed and was pleasantly surprised: medium fish and chips were larger than the large in my local and cooked perfectly to order. Even came is a beautiful little box which meant we could sit by the river to eat it. Can’t wait to return.
Very nice fish and chips! Not bad value and they’re a local business. I’d rather support them than a major cooperation 🤷♂️

Fantastic Fish and chips!!! If your passing its definately worth popping in its way up there in the top 10 everything is cooked to order so you have to wait but trust me its well worth it! If you've not been to Coggeshall before it's definately worth looking at the old buildings the grace the village while you wait for your order...
We just tried for first time 2 cods chips and sausage and batter.All cooked very nicely massive portions really enjoyed the food.The shop looked nice and clean with a 5 star hygiene rating the food gets 5 stars aswell perfect.
Great chip shop. Now fast become my regular. Staff are so happy and polite always got a smile and food is spot on!

Food is always tasty and fresh, nice selection from the menu. I would recommend ordering first to avoid any delays as preparation can be slower than you would like, but for a local chippy in a small village they do a great job, well done!
Excellent service, provided fresh fish and chips at a time when everywhere else was closed on the high street. Fresh tasty food, will definitely visit again if in the area.
