Went there today for a bite to eat, i wanted a double bacon cheese burger, it was amazing 1.2Lb of pure beer, really juicy and beautifully cooked. I would highly recommend the burgers. The service was brilliant and the food came out in less then 20 mins. Well done you guys, the management change is a definite improvement.
The food was amazing, not a small portion, definitely worth the price. I came here on the Sunday and had the Sunday roast and it filled me up. I would suggest the wishing well to everyone.
Had one of the best roasts I have ever ate today! Lamb was tender, fresh veg and scrumpy crispy roasters! Friendly atmosphere and wonderful staff ��
Had a wonderful Sunday lunch on Mothering Sunday. As I'm gluten free it's often difficult to find somewhere that will serve you a decent roast dinner. Mine along with everybody's was scrummy. Thank you for yet again spoiling us with good food and as always courteous efficient service. We will be back soon.
I had a lovely gammon steak here today for the 241 grill night, it was cooked perfectly. Lovely pub with friendly staff & an excellent selection of wines. Thank you.
We planned our wedding reception at the Wishing Well several months ago with the previous tenants. Unfortunately they forgot to inform the incoming tenants of our booking. Only by chance did we discover this when we popped in a few weeks before our wedding. Luckily they were able to still accommodate us even though they had another function later in the evening. The silver option buffet was just what we wanted and had a nice variety of options. The Landlord and barstaff were friendly and willing to oblige. I have no hestitation or reservations in recommending this pub for similiar events.
Had a lovely meal there last weekend food was good and staff very friendly great beer garden especially if you have children, will defiantly go back when in the area..
Want in the other day, great staff, great food, great selection of drinks. Would go more often if there was a pool table and a few more different bourbons.
Staying in the area for our anniversary we popped in on our way back from Bath and were not disappointed. Friendly and welcoming bar staff (it was his first day!), great and varied menu, my steak was cooked to perfection and my husband was beaten by the mixed grill. The chef and staff are working really hard to return the Wishing Well to its best and they're doing a great job. When we are back this way we will definitely be back. We both highly recommend the sausages!
First impressions we weren’t sure if the pub was open, there was only one car in the car park. We had nice pint of ale in their huge back garden and decided to try the vegan bbq cauliflower salad (tbh not something we’d usually go for!). It was delicious. Very filling and we were totally satisfied 👍 Will definitely be back to try more from the menu.
Absolutely beautiful place, gorgeous food and great setting. Would recommend for a cosy country pub vibe, or a romantic evening meal, it can get busy on an evening so please do phone and book a table! The friendliest staff that cater to all of your needs, and a warm feeling all round! Also I love the decor, very autumnal and cosy! Thank you all for a gorgeous meal xx

Visited for the first time this evening. It's a lovely proper, cosy pub. Next time we will pop in for some food as it kept going past us and looked fantastic!

Mixed grill was amazing. All cooked perfectly and portions very good size. If we go out, we don't bother going anywhere else.

Mother-in-law landed so we popped up for some dinner. Sadly no mixed grill (noooooo) but gammon was a lovely substitute. Once again great, friendly service and perfectly cooked food.
29th July 2023 - New management
Haven't been here for a while. Was pretty quiet with a few tables looking sad with dirty glasses left.
Ordered some food, bar service only now, and settled in. Food was delivered quickly and was delicious. Steaks cooked exactly as asked for, Only complaint was fried eggs in the mixed grill had no moving yolk.
All in all both meals were lovely and we left with full up tummy's.
Lovely pub & nice staff. looks like they serve good quality food unfortunately we missed the last service.
You can stop overnight in carpark at back if you use the pud also you can fill up with water form tap at front
We visited the wishing well for a Sunday roast after a friend recommended it. Well what can I say. Amazing, the Sunday roast has to be the best roast we have had in a local pub. Fresh, plenty of it and the taste was 100%. We will defiantly be coming back here again.

Came a hundred miles for dinner with the family celebrating our Daughters Birthday.
Just had a quick pint after work it was quiet when I went. but it has a massive beer garden out back. Had a lovly pint in the sun out back. I haven't had the food, so I can't comment. The menu looks good, tho.
Stopped here for a cup of tea just as they opened at midday, and ended up staying for lunch...

I had Lasagne, my partner had Cod & Chips... Huge, perfectly presented dishes which tasted delicious! We will deffo be back!

Went for a meal and a pint in here the other week, the food runner was really kind and helpful and gave us great service throughout the whole meal. I would 100% recommend having a meal here.
Great friendly pub, I stayed at players Golf club for three nights and I ate here each evening. Had a great steak. All the staff were attentive and helpful, I highly recommend this for eating. There’s a good selection of ales too.
