Came for dinner on the reopening of the kitchen. Food was delicious and great service! Would highly recommend and will be back soon!
Recently under new management and what a transformation! A warm welcome, very clean, great beers and delicious food. Just had a lovely lunch here with very high end pub grub with generous portions! So pleased to have such a great pub in our village. Dog friendly 🐕.

Brilliant, welcoming, warm. Friendly pub. Stopped in on my way home for a quick drink and a packet of crisps, Niamh was so welcoming and it was a joy to visit. The open fire was gorgeous and a very beautiful old building. Would recommend.

Great pub! They had an amazing range of locally brewed beers and the staff were all really friendly and attentive. The food and drinks were delicious and will definitely come back.
Stumbled upon this little gem on a walk, was welcomed like everyone knew me (I think maybe a lady called Zoe who was so friendly & knowledgeable about the ales )… I ordered the fish & chips and cheesecake and sat in the lovely garden with a view. A lovely local pub, that has something for everyone good food, a nice atmosphere, friendly staff and a good selection of beers. It’s always a nice place to stop for a drink.
We popped in for a drink last week, and were so impressed by the lovely old pub, coal fire and friendly locals, we booked for sunday lunch this week. Not dissapointed!! Excellent service, delicious home cooked food and a chocalate brownie to die for! Thank you guys and see you all soon.
Read an article about Farr Brew brewery startup that had about 6 pubs out St Albans way. Bored at home so decided to take a jaunt out to the countryside. Ended up at The Bull Inn at Whitwell - lovely log fire, pleasant staff, excellent beer and a very good burger. Keep up the good work and I do so h
Lovely beer 🍻 I do love a Neckoil and of course a few pints of Golden to wash the crisps and nuts down!!!! Sat in the garden all evening, although a bit fresh still has a nice feel!
Called in early evening Saturday 20.11.2021 with my son for a couple of beers and a snack. Staff were very friendly, beer okay and the food we was excellent. Definitely worth trying if your in the area.
Food was great and the staff are very accommodating
