Review The Plough - Coddington

The Boss
Excellent lunch. Cooked to perfection especially the veg. One of the best pub meals I have had, at a very good price. Dog friendly. Highly recommend you give it a try!

First time visit, good first impressions. Can't say the service was five stars, as that would make it sound pretentious; but, I can say it was warm, welcoming and professional. Food was lovely, though personally I would have liked toasted bread for my sausage sandwich, as it was a little limp and fell on to the board. That aside, as you can see, as good a taste as it looked.

We randomly found the plough on Google and were astounded by the high class food! The prices were low and the portion size was large- especially the gyro. You can taste each item was homemade and the service was great. Can't wait to come back and try more.

On entering the Plough, I found it to be light, spacious, and welcoming. We chose to have Black Sheep as it was on tap at £4.40 a pint (a little steep for a Northerner) and again, found this well looked after and thoroughly enjoyable. For food, we had fish and chips and Pork Gyros. Again, both of which were spot on. The Gyros was perhaps a little too big and could feed two people easily, and that's coming from someone with a large appetite!! Verdict: top notch!

Just found this lovely pub for lunch on our way up north on the A1. Lovely welcome, nicely designed and all homemade fresh food. Well worth a visit if you need somewhere to stop on your travels. Reasonably priced. Would definately call in again Thank you

Really nice pub. Food was great and staff were incredibly friendly. Menu was small but good variety (we did go for lunch, so dinner may be different) Both child and dog friendly which is always useful for us. Will defiantly be back next time we are in the area.
