The Ship Inn - Cockwood - Photo album

Beautiful old fashioned pub. Drinks at the bar minimize the waiting time๐Ÿ‘they had few alcohol free bottled beer and cider options. Lovely food much better than expected on holidays. I chose from the specials board the hake with chips and the soup, both big portions. We're are heading back there tomo
Really enjoyed this country pub. Excellent service. Well kept Cask ale. Plenty of bar lagers & ciders along with a multitude of bar snacks. We didn't eat as the table booking was full (on a Wednesday evening) so obviously very popular
Fantastic food, good prices, and friendly helpful staff. Definitely going back again, and would thoroughly recommend to friends and family (or anyone). Not anything special to really look at from the outside, but very cosy and oldie worldly inside. A date above one fireplace was 1633!
Fantastic place for lunch today!.. family party of 5..we all had jacket potatoes..4 with brie and mushrooms..one with chilli con carne!.. fantastic value for money.. very well cooked..side salad and home made coleslaw included.. wonderful ๐Ÿ˜Š.. this place is a must if you are in the area ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ‘Œ..the photo
Out of the two pubs in Cockwood, I definitely prefer this one, food is good, ales are well-kept and prices a decent bit cheaper than the other place. OK you're not going to get quite the same sea view as the one next door, but when it's dark and hammering it down with rain, that's not an issue. Beer
The Ship Inn is a beautiful old pub in a beautiful setting. The menu is varied and a specials board. We visited 3 times during our week away. Everything we ordered was beautiful, hot and very tasty. The staff were all lovely and it was always busy with locals and visitors. I would advise booking a t
Amazing views, the food was amazing, as was the service.
Haven't eaten there yet, although some friends make it a regular treat. Beer in good condition. It's close to the Exe estuary, so outside tables overlooking the marsh can be very cool in the evening. Inside has plenty of character so it's a popular haunt of locals.
We had an excellent Sunday dinner there. Three roast dinners excluding drinks was around ยฃ45, all of which were delicious. Highly recommended.
Was very pleasantly surprised after a last minute decision to pop in for food on a Friday afternoon. Good food that arrived promptly, large portions, reasonably priced and a good old pub feeling to the place. We will certainly be going back.
