We had the fish and chips. Fish was cooked very well, very light and soft white Fish with minimal batter and not oily or greasy. Chips were pretty good and the gravy had an oriental twist to it - maybe something they cook it with similarly - was a nice surprise.

Very polite service, good fish and chips, the best gravy in Cumbria it must be made with spare ribs /onions etc.. it is a meal on its own.
Visited a few times now, trying both the fish and chips and Chinese food. Their chips, gravy sauce and chicken chow mein are all lovely and would definitely go there over the other fish and chip / Chinese takeaways in Cockermouth.
When visiting weβve had free portions of mini vegetable spring rolls and prawn crackers which were also very nice.

Ordered a takeaway earlier. The girl that answered the phone was so polite and took our order, reading it back to us. Food was beautiful
Went there on a whim. Only 4 people allowed in the shop at a time. Queued for a short while outside. Once inside order was taken swiftly and food was quickly ready. There was a very generous portion of chips and the fish was large in size. The food was very hot and not in any way unpleasant. Overall very enjoyable.
Stayed in Cockermouth Premier Inn and due to COVID the restaurant was closed. Found this hidden gem of a takeaway which was only 1 mile away. The food was fantastic, I can not rate them highly enough. Keep up the great work.

Friendly service. I had fish and chips, which took around 10 minutes. However, I would not recommend scampi: it is cooked from frozen and is not very high in quality. Very good fish, though.
Fantastic menu, the dishes I had were very tasty and all freshly cooked. Relatively quick service and lovely staff!
Really lovely and very tasty freshly cooked haddock with chips. Very reasonable price, and pleasant staff. Only drawback was they only took cash, so be prepared.
