Having stayed in a lot of local hotels in the Whitehaven and Cockermouth Area, in my experience and in my opinion, this is by far the best place to stay. Upon entering the hotel I received a very warm welcome and I was shown to a very well presented, clean and well maintained room which looks to be
Food was gorgeous and great service the only reason I didn't give five stars was the portion size of my chicken, but I must give a special mention about the lovely white wine sauce that came with it 👌 beautiful

The delicious mains were quite traditional and well presented. Would recommend this ‘off the beaten track’ hotel for a bar
Absolutely beautiful hotel. We had a room with a balcony looking over the valley. It was stunning waking up to the horses and sheep outside the window. Food was fantastic and staff were knowledgeable when it came to gluten free options, offering lots of choice. The room was gorgeous and spotlessly c
