Beautiful old part of building. Clean and spacious accommodation. Food good but have to pay as you go rather than bill at end of stay. Service friendly and good. Maybe a little pricey for room.

Lovely pub with great food and fantastic staff. Particularly liked the Hunters Chicken Schnitzel and the Buttermilk Chicken Burger. Everything was cooked perfectly. The Honey Pot for dessert was amazing and it took every ounce of my willpower not to lick the plate. Staff were really attentive without being invasive and made us all feel really welcome and relaxed, particularly good with the kids. I plan to go back on a Sunday to try their roast.

My fiancé has been here a number of times in the past but I was yet to experience the St George and Dragon. I downloaded the app as it was offering £20 off a £40 spend. I booked my table online with ease. I ordered crispy chicken for starter, roast beef for main, with a chocolate honey pot for dessert. It was all very lovely and I will definitely be returning for more. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was relaxed. A great country pub. And to top off they are dog friendly!

We've been several times and this place never fails to deliver. The food is superb, the pub itself is beautifully kept and offers an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere. The staff are friendly and welcoming - a special mention from our last visit to Giles who was so courteous, attentive and just an all round lovely chap. Will return again and again. 5*****

The place was very easy to find. The car park had plenty of spaces available. The room was extremely clean and modern with all amenities available. The food was superb (I had garlic mushrooms and duo lamb which despite a staff shortage was perfectly cooked). Giles and Lesley were so courteous and professional that we felt very welcome. I hope both get some reward for the hard work and effort they put in. This place is very highly recommended and we would definately stay here again. It was one of the best places we have ever stayed in.

Laid on a good wake buffet (including vegan options) for a reasonable price. Very obliging staff, comfortable surroundings with sturdy chairs. Accessibility good with easy parking on site. Good bar selection with real ale served well. Highly recommended.

Visited on way home from the beach in Exmouth. Nice decor and wide range of dishes. Had the sirloin steak med rare cooked to perfection., Wife had the Penang curry and enjoyed and little one had fresh made kids pizza with sweet potato fries. Their was a little mix up with deserts during a hand over but the server apologised straight away. I recommend the honey pot wife had the blueberry torte. Service was attentive but not over powering which is a rare balance nowadays. Shame was on short break but if passing through again I would definitely revisit.

I went with my sister for lunch and was very impressed with both the food and service. We both had seabass which was delicious and well presented. Lesley was particularly helpful and knowledgeable. I will definitely be returning again soon

We stopped here overnight on our way from Manchester to Cornwall. To be fair I wasn’t expecting much but I was shocked how amazing this place is. The staff are extremely competent and friendly. I had Gammon (as normal for me). I was so glad I did as it just melted in my mouth. The best Gammon I ever had. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Visited 22/6/23. Fantastic pub with great happy staff. Had a lovely calm and peaceful meal with all food being cooked fantastically. Would return in a heart beat. The staff should keep up the good work as hard to find people that seem to enjoy their job.

Nice restaurant providing good basic food. But not adventurous. Located close to Garden centre with several restaurants/outlets providing very strong competition.

Tried this place couple days ago as it's not too far from where I live and was pleasantly surprised to find such a cosy pub, fresh food and a very nice outdoor garden. The salmon was very delicious, loved the pesto salsa. It's also very handy we can order using the app, everything was very yummy, in a chilled, relaxed atmosphere!

Lovely surprise 70th birthday dinner for my husband. Very nice food. Staff were friendly and attentive. We were able to take balloons and a birthday cake which was brought out after our meal. Complimentary drink for the birthday boy which was a nice touch. Very relaxed atmosphere and good time had by all.

This was the best Sunday roast I’ve had for 5 years in a restaurant. The service was amazing and friendly. There were 4 of us dinning and everything was hot and there was lots of it. Couldn’t recommend it enough. The flavour of the food were outstanding. We’ll be back.

This place is a complete delight from start to finish. The service is warm and attentive, the food is absolutely divine and surroundings are cosy and beautiful. I had the haddock kedgeree fishcake, a pint of Tribute, and a latte with a mini brownie (still a very good size!!) and left feeling like I didn't need to eat again for a week. Highly recommend this fabulous pub. You won't be disappointed 😁

First visit Easy parking Service was prompt and good Food was very nice Only negative was that everyone was herded together in one area to eat rather than being able to spread out and perhaps choose a quieter area to dine. Plenty of seating area just not able to use it??.
