We where recommended by friends to try The Ettrick for Indian food. I must say this place is better than any Indian restaurant we have been to. Great service by all staff. Looking forward to going back.
Very reasonable prices.
We decided to buy some tickets for the legendary Ettrick tasting day. On this occasion it was a rum tasting. The wide variety of rum was exceptional in addition to our mixers, garnishes and nibbles, such as a cheeseboard and other treats to pair well with the rum. Jordon, our host had in depth knowledge and also made the event with his craic. Afterwards we dined, as usual ordered the famous Ettrick curry. This place will not disappoint, staff, food and atmosphere. A true gem.
Warm and friendly service. Our server, Jen, was so patient with us and our lack of knowledge. She made wonderful suggestions and we had a delicious meal. I have a big appetite but couldn't begin to eat half of the Indian sample platter, though it was truly fantastic.
We had a lovely meal here tonight. The service was very good. Very polite. The sizzling Chicken Tikka was 💯 fantastic. I loved it. Enjoy every bite.

Top marks here, attentive staff who have a bit of chat, food was delicious. Genuine Indian Food, cooked here, don't think it's some local chef knocking up Indian food. It certainly is not. These people run the kitchen and serve authentic Indian food, as good as you'll get in an Indian restaurant.. Prices spot on too. Definitely recommend from me..
Popped in for a bit to eat. This place has a standard pub fayre for eating steak pie, mac & cheese. However, this pub has a fantastic Indian menu and is well worth trying. I would recommend trying the spicy mushrooms or one of the sizzlers.
Friendly staff and management, lovely food and great service, the Indian food menu is excellent.
Went along the other Saturday to meet friends. The weather took a change for the better so decided to sit in the beer garden had a couple of rounds which I thought were reasonably priced. We were withering on something to eat so decided on the sharing platter from the beer garden menu. We all enjoyed so decided to eat there not one of us were disappointed. Having a steak pie full house 2 chicken sizzlers kebabs delish with rice and a chicken korma again all reasonably priced great service good atmosphere and will definitely be back.
Lovely, welcoming staff and amazing food. Been a few times and its always delicious. Authentic indian cooking, will be back.
