We went today for lunch. My mum is in a wheelchair but this wasnt an issue. Ramp and lift access. The staff was lovely, so friendly and helpful. The place was lovely, very spacious too for being on a boat. The food was first class good variety and a good choice for kids too. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

Would just love to say thank you to the staff at the boat for being absolute gems. I mentioned it was my mums birthday today when ordering and asked that maybe the delivery driver wish her a happy birthday as she hasn't seen many people today who have. I honestly thought it would go unnoticed but the driver not only turned up bang on time but also had a bouquet of flowers for my mum. Honestly it's made her day and she had a wee greet. Thank you so much for making my mum feel a little more special on her birthday. Food was excellent too.

Very Impressed. Visited here yesterday 23rd of Feb by chance, it was excellent, very down to earth, staff were very quick, attentive and friendly, without being overbearing. Food was also very good, you have to have the fish and chips, good sized portion, very well cooked, nice white fresh fish and a lovely light batter, also reasonably priced for sitting in, with 2 courses each for 2 people around £18.....probably some of the best fish and chips i've had in Glasgow and I've tried 1 or 2, would definitely recommend if you were in the area, well worth the drive.....plan a return visit soon.

Brilliant food, great service and the staff were very attentive to my 5yr old daughter. Best fish and chips I've had in ages and my wee girls pizza was lovely too. Massive ice cream with sprinkles for her after the main. Definitely recommend McMonagles and we will be back real soon.

First time in a long time since we had visited the boat for some food and it did not disappoint. We where greeted by 2 servers who where great throughout and kept our boy company chit chatting. We had fish and chips, chicken burger with bacon, jalapeño, hash browns, spicy mayo and chips, kids pizza and chips with diluting juice and icecream. All the food was great as expected. We dined just after midday on a week day and it was not busy. We will be back again next time we are around the Clydebank area.

Still good food although the portion sizes have shrunk over the years and you're now looking at almost a tenner for a fish supper. It's starting to look a bit dilapidated, the good ship Debra Rose could do with a bit of sprucing up. Staff at the counter are friendly and efficient.

Been many times and it's always been decent but this time when I asked for halal as I usually do, the girl said they're waiting on fresh fish but only took ten mins. Always ask for extra salt and vinegar and this time it was bang on. The fish was light and crispy, full of flavour and not drenched in oil. Chips were much better than usual too. Hope it's like this every time!

This is broadly a really good takeaway (appreciate you can dine in but I've never had the notion to). There's oodles of parking and a visit is a novelty as it's built on the canal to resemble a boat. The menu is extensive (inc gluten free) but it's a treat because it is quite expensive (like everything these days). The cod is amazing and I wouldn't buy it anywhere else. No bones at all which is my fear with eating fish. Delivery, if you choose it, is good but can take time (90 mins sometimes) and its quite costly. My only tiny gripe is they never season your order when it's home delivery.

Popped in for the first time after seeing the boat a few times, firstly the warm welcome as we came in was great. We quickly got seated and ordered. I had the catch of the day which was fantastic, chips were good and mushy peas were nice but the fish.......oh baby, juicy chunks by the forkful, a nice amount of batter on it, no void space or chunks of batter instead of fish. This was an excellent serving and tops my current list of favourites. My girlfriend had the chicken Balmoral and it was also very nicely done, I sampled a bit of the chicken and it was delicious. I highly recommend anyone to come try the boat chippy, service is excellent and it is very clean and the food is excellent. I will definetly be back and I'll be recommending others to go too. 👌👍😁
