A great hotel in a beautiful setting. Room 4 was absolutely lovely with a large comfy bed and a stunning bathroom. The food and service was great and a reasonable price. The bowland beer Hen Harrier and Boxer was amazing but if they could just get Bowland Deer Stalker(hint hint) on draft the place

Went for a gorgeous meal here last weekend. My husband and I both had the curried chicken with Bombay potatoes and it was gorgeous. Did not stay here so unable to rate the rooms .
Had Sunday lunch at this restaurant/pub today what a great place! Good food excellent atmosphere with great staff very accommodating and friendly! We will definitely be returning! Highly recommend if you like fresh homemade food with fantastic presentation!
Had a lovely meal yesterday early evening with my Mum and husband. Food was gorgeous Mum had the lamb, my husband had the caesar salad and he was asked if he would like anchovies as not everyone does and I had the ploughman's which was huge . We thought the food was excellent value. Lovely helpful
Lunchtime visit on a sunny autumn day. Beautiful setting, historic feel to the village and this lovely country Inn. Very nice varied menu with specials available. I had the very tasty ham hock with crispy hens egg. My wife enjoyed the mussels followed by the nocchie pasta, my main was the steak pie.
Spent a night here on Thursday. We had the Dinner,Bed&Breakfast deal which was £165. The location is stunning and the pub lovely and cosy with real fires to keep you nice and warm. Lovely lunch time meal. Sat next to 3 miserable, middle aged women with 2 dogs who wolfed their meal down but split their bill 3 ways to £12.63 with no tip because their order had been inadvertently missed and the staff didn't "apologise enough" I had to sit on my own hands and clamp my own lips bet
Lovely place & service good. Wouldn’t fault that. I was told the men’s toilet was disgusting though. Seafood platter is not worth £26.95 so don’t bother ordering it. Sunday roast was good but the carrots were - puried - not mashed- far too sloppy. The salty fries were processed frozen food type. Sha
