What a great traditional pub in the centre of Whalley. It looks deceptively small from outside but inside it opens up to numerous rooms with seating, a pool room and a lovely beer garden at the back. My first visit yesterday, don't know how I've missed it but I can highly recommend it. Lovely lady behind the bar, great choice of draught beers, and good home cooked pub food at very reasonable prices. Accessibility. It might be possible to take a wheelchair in but inside there is plenty of room and only one are reached by a step. However, parking nearby is very limited.

Good for the jukebox and live music. Suits the 40s to 60s more. Plenty real ales and different lagers. I didn't have food

Just a great pub, doing everything right - good food, good beers, friendly welcome, no silly prices, but genuinely interested in giving the customer what they need. I will be coming back!

Easily the best of the three remaining pubs on the crossroads. Very friendly pub with great real ale and traditional cozy feel. Well worth a visit.

A great pub nestled in the heart of Whalley serving a wide range of drinks and even food if you go at lunchtime... I recommend the cheese and onion pie! There is always a welcoming atmosphere when you enter and the staff are really friendly. There is a pool table near the toilets which makes got a great game! The pub is dog friendly so if you have allergies I would recommend taking some antihistamines. There is an outdoor area which is partially undercover which is great in the summer.

Traditional pub with excellent cask ales. Constantly changing list behind the bar often with a Moorhouses beer. Good choice of continental lagers and cider. Good value lunchtime meals. Pool table and beer garden. Beware the sloping floor!

Visited for lunch after 6.5 mile walk in the area on Wednesday 7th Dec. Sat with our pints of excellent local Stout with a hint of liquorice to peruse the menu and I chose the Braised Steak daily special and I have to say it was spot on! Took a little time to get our meals, but it was a very busy lunch time and the staff were great and attentive. Whalley is a lovely place to visit and has lots of history and places to explore. The Dog Inn is a great local village Inn and a welcoming place to call in for drinks and food and I heartily reccomended it!

Just stopped by for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the warm and friendly atmosphere. My dog was made 100% welcome and the food was gorgeous. The batter on the fish was so light and crispy. Really enjoyed the experience. Highly recommend.
