We went to holmes mill bistro on Saturday night for a late valentines meal, what a stunning place I am a very fussy person when it comes to food but I was so impressed with the menu, the food was lovely the service was excellent and the waiter stayed with our table for the evening, nothing was to much trouble , I can't recommend this restaurant enough it has now become my favourite place What more can you ask for , thank you holmes mill for making our valentines meal truly special.

There are not enough fantastic words to describe this place. We have just returned from a meal for two of us, starts, mains and drinks. The starts had delicious sauces, new tastes to me and my Grandma which we couldn’t get enough of. The mains, I had a mixed grill medium rare and she had a steak pie, the steak was divine. All the trimming and other meats cooked to absolute perfection. The staff were attentive and so polite, there was no rushing us about and the chefs timing for our mains from the starter was impeccable. Hats off to the chefs tonight. The moment we walked in the interior took our breathe away, it was so beautiful, from the detail in the window displays to the chandeliers (you must look up to see the ceiling too, amazing) The piano player was a wonderful added extra which was unexpected. Most definitely returning. Thank you again. Amazing.

Hen party of 30. Offered a great set menu. Had terrine followed by ribeye steak. Having asked how I liked it cooking it came perfectly cooked for me. Great service too with a very happy male waiter and young waitress serving on. Beautiful music played by pianist too. Very nice place, very happy to return. Well done to all.

Good place to visit. The shop was a little pricey but a great variety of goods. Pub very good with excellent bar staff.

Absolutely wonderful evening at Holmes Mill last night for The 2017 New Years Eve celebration. Checked into the beautiful hotel, with fab double room. We then had a excellent meal in the beer hall... brilliant service. Then a fabulous evening upstairs above the beer hall with a live band called The Soul Convicts. The room was rocking and buzzing all evening with a brilliant atmosphere. All staff involved worked so hard to make it a fab evening for all. Followed by a brill stay at the hotel and breakfast was good too to take us on our journey home ..... Keep up the good work Holmes Mill .....

Stayed here for my Brother in Law's 50th birthday bash, room was small but comfortable, bar was very busy early on but settled down as the evening went on, food was straightforward and well priced and delivered quickly seeing it was a Saturday night. All in all great one stop shop for food drinks and a place to stay.

Visited at lunchtime and was greeted by very friendly staff. The building and bar itself is fascinating along with the Bowland Brewery equipment at the back and original mill wheels and cabling in the room to the left of the main bar area. Prices are very fair with an extensive menu and vast range of drinks.

As a wedding band, we see a LOT of venues up and down the country. It was such a delight to perform here and we look forward to returning every time. The room is set up perfectly for a great party atmosphere. It honestly looks incredible and the staff are so helpful. Nice work guys!

Visited twice as we did last year when in the area. Great place with brewery/Bar, Cinema, Food Hall & Cafe. Just the sort of food I like, platters, small plates, etc. Lovely wine & Bowland lager was very nice. Coffee & cakes excellent. Can recommend the fishmongers platter, ploughman's & charcuterie ones too. Chardonnay was perfect. Burger is simple & not two feet high! Just excellent beef, tomato & lettuce with a spicy sauce on the side. You can actually cut it in half & eat it in a ladylike manner! Cakes delicious & flat whites excellent Staff do let it down a bit. We sat on stools at the counter both times & they are in their own little world, walking past without glancing up to see if you need anything. However, I will keep going when I get the opportunity, as it is so lovely. Good cheese counter in food hall. Portuguese tarts are divine Parking is busy as I guess people park there to go to the cinema. I was fortunate both times to get the last space

We love it here ! This is the fourth time we have visited. We have been on our own as a couple and also with our 7 year old son ( with a 'z bed' in our room. Staff are also helpful, welcoming and friendly. The rooms are always beautiful, bright and clean. The bathrooms are well laid out, spacious and luxurious with powerful showers and luxury L'occitane products. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits available. Comfortable beds and bedding make a great night sleep. Breakfast is so fresh, tasty and locally sourced with great choice. Great offers too. A fantastic break. Thank you so much holmes mill - we can't wait to come back soon !!

Attended a lovely wedding at Holmes Mill. Parking is limited so arrive early. Only minor quibble was that the veggie full English was the same price as the normal one, but without bacon...portions were also pretty small for £12.50.

You will be surprised how many places can't do a simple dish of nachos. Here it was made with so much love and attention (cheesy goodness from top to bottom) I mulled over ordering another portion.

Second time visiting and it looks even better than before with what It offers, with so much to do now, including bowling, Everyman Cinema with actual sofa's, and more. We ate in the main pub part near to the bar and couldn't resist the home made pies, one Steak and one Cheese & Onion - so delish!!! Service good, great surroundings, although we questioned the interior design choice of clear plastic chairs to go with such a beautiful building (each to their own huh). A definite must visit if in the region

We have been to the food hall a few times for a coffee and a bite to eat. The food is always good and the service is good. It can get very busy and a struggle to find a table around lunchtime. It's a very popular place for the "ladies who lunch " and discuss their busy lives. How long can you sit with an empty coffee cup talking about yourself? Apart from that, there is a great selection of different foods for sale around the food Hall. The car park gets very full as well.

Brother-in-law took me here in between Xmas & New Year. Had heard from friends about this place being decent prior to this and I was not disappointed. An incredible bar, with an superb décor and atmosphere. Me being an Ale drinker, I was very happy. I didn't eat, though I'm told the food is very good - will be sure to return to sample the food again soon. We went on foot, but it was clear to see parking could be a bit problematic here on account of how busy things were. On the other hand, the fact that something is busy at least shows they're doing something right.
