Great fish and chips at a reasonable price by current standards. It’s the detail that makes it so good, like salt and vinegar on the chips first and then again on the fish when it goes on top! This place is a family favourite! 👍

Whenever we visit Clitheroe we make sure to treat ourselves to a Castle Chippy tea! Always get a warm welcome and the food has never let us down. I love the variety on the menu and the chips are never too greasy. Defo recommend!!
The fish and chips tasted great, exactly what I wanted. However, the portion size of the chips was much smaller than they have given me in the past when I've visited which was a bit of a let down. Hope this was a one off.

Best chippy I've had in years! Perfectly cooked crispy chips, pie, peas and gravy. Proper stick to your ribs Lancashire soul food. Friendly polite staff too, brilliant, well done castle chippy!
Been in tonight, was busy so had a bit of a wait!
Fish was lovely it melted in the mouth and the chips were lovely and golden with a nice crunch.
No wonder they are busy!

Decent English Fish n Chips in the lovely Clitheroe. Fish Goujons recommended as a cheaper alternative to a whole fish.
Excellent chippy. Fish chips n mushy peas are top class. Good to see it back in business after the fire.
The only thing letting you down is the portion size, fish is fried superb, not to much making it all crunchy an crispy.
They also fry your fish in separate oil, so it’s not mixed in with sausages. Brilliant friendly staff
