Had a day out and we found ourselves looking around Clitheroe, we came upon this coffee shop and as we only wanted a snack went in, ordered Americano, latte and toasted t-cakes, the teacakes were the best we have had in years and not lacking in butter, we will certainly go again when in or around the vicinity, highly recommended, clean, friendly, good menu.

Good food, freshly made, served by friendly staff, in pleasant surroundings. Not cheap but definitely value for money. I went for late lunch with three grandchildren (5,7&9). We shared two child lunches, a cheese panini and a sausage, cheese and onion toastie - followed by puddings with custard. Enjoyed by all! Just one comment - the small drinks are indeed small! Suggest choose medium or large.

Nice cafe, not too expensive. Wide range of main meals and lighter 'bites' available.

Traditional and Reliable. I've paid several visits here, and always been satisfied. It's simply a great place to meet and dine, or just have a coffee. No pretension, no "theme" or 'USP", but good food/drink with good, friendly service. It's maybe not for the hipsters or style gurus, but then again it's not twee or fake olde worlde either. But it is great food and service, which suits me fine. And it's bigger than it looks. What you can't see from the street is that there is another room AND a conservatory! Recommended.

Oh, you Apricot Meringue people, making it very difficult to attribute stars. You are great. Food is fantastic, the best ham sandwich since Noah was a boy. Cakes are off the scale delightful. Coffee, hmmm, Lancashire. Bit noisy but well worth a quick stop in or better to take out to the glorious walks in and around the town. Hungry and thirsty people, do go here.

Been here a few times and always delivers on all counts. We had a soup and sandwich special yesterday, brilliant and very fresh and tasty. As we were celebrating our 49th wedding anniversary a day early we also had an iced dessert each. The ladies were all very friendly and efficient and congratulated us too. Our daughter also loves it here and won't go anywhere else when we come over to clitheroe, she has learning disabilities but is always happy as everyone is so good and patient with her. It makes for a very relaxed visit

We went inside of this cafe and we greeted by lovely staff and as me and my daughter have a gluten free diet we asked if they cater for gluten free and we were told yes. Once sitting my daughter asked for a Gluten free toastie and the lady who served us said the bread is gluten free but the toasties machine is shared, my daughter decided to only have chips as she does get quite alot of pains from gluten. ( if you are very Intolerant or have coeliac disease I wouldn't eat her unfortunately as it is a shared environmentwith gluten products). We had 2 paninis with ham and cheese, one gluten free tuna mayo sandwich, 3 portions of fries and 4 cans and it came to £39.95 which I feel is alot for what we received. The food was okay and kept us going but unfortunately we wouldn't go back due to the gluten and price.

Visited this little gem for afternoon tea and it was fabulous. We were greeted by Anita and her team and made to feel really welcome. The table was set beautifully and attention to detail was wonderful. Coffee nice and hot just how I like it, food was amazing, very tasty and homemade my favourite being the beautiful homemade scones. Staff are very attentive, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I would definately recommend a visit and it definately won't be the last time for me. Thank you for a wonderful visit we really enjoyed our time at Apricot Meringue x
