Visited Sunday 06/09 as we were staying nearby and both my partner and I opted for the Roast Beef Sunday lunch from the specials board. The Beef was cooked perfectly and portion size represented value for money on the cost of the meal. If I am being mega critical, half a carrot or another veg would
Lovely pub in a small village. Shared ploughman's lunch was good quality, plenty to feed two. Pub garden is good with seating covered so you can still eat outside, bonus for smokers. The staff was all very friendly and couldn't do enough to make our visit one to remember.
Most enjoyable lunch on 11 August, the main courses were so filling we didn’t need a pudding! The service was excellent, the owner even gave me a free ‘shot’ from bar as it was my birthday. Highly recommended and a lovely location.
Had a lovely couple of nights here. The room was good with tea making facilities. Staff were extremely friendly and efficient. We ate in the pub one night and the food was very good, again with excellent service. This is definitely somewhere I would stay and eat at again.
Visited today after a walk in the local area, nice to see people supporting a local pub. Food very tasty, great service from lovely staff. Alot of tables reserved for the evening, however managed to be seated straight away. Will definitely return.
What an amazing place. We were firstly wowed by the outside area and wished it wasn't raining so we could have experienced that. We will definitely be back on a sunny day for that. Now onto the good stuff. We were greeted by Andrew who couldn't of had a bigger smile, we arrived a little early and ou
Visited whilst on holiday - such a lovely (dog friendly) pub in a quaint little village - food is absolutely amazing - steak and mushroom pie is the best I've ever tasted. Husband and Son both had steaks and were equally impressed.
The pub has just changed hands so is not fully operational ATM. The new owner is a really great chap, full of enthusiasm and experience. He is very friendly and helpful. We wish him good luck with his new venture and hope he does well.
Lovely pub with great atmosphere and food was fabulous. In a great area for walks. We didn't stop over but it's our intention to next time... Also staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Great pub. Had a meal on Friday night, which was lovely. The landlord and bar staff really know what it takes to make you feel welcome.
