Very nice place to have meal with family, group of friends or take someone out. Place offers different types of Indians cuisines which taste amazing. Would recommend ordering multiple dishes if you are in group of people and sharing those between people. Place looked like it’s been shut (shutters are down) however what you need to to is go by alley by left hand side of shutters. I only provide 4 for food as Nan bread taste like been made from pancake batter but still are nice.
Needed somewhere to eat after a long drive. Food was delicious and well priced, the two staff members on shift were very polite and friendly, had a lovely chat with them and we left with smiles on our faces. Would definitely come here again if I was local !
What an experience!!! Calcutta Street Kitchen in Cleethorpes has taken me back to India, literally. There are two floors. If you wish for more privet dinning I would suggest sitting upstairs. The beautiful decor, welcoming and friendly staff were amazing. Gorgeously designed chandelier on the first floor is a “cherry on a cake” absolutely mesmerising. Drink menu has some really interesting gems like Chai Manhattan or Sassi Lassie with mango and touch of rum. Starters were absolutely delicious & not to hot, pani pouri is a must try! The presentation of main was simple but that’s how it should be when talking about India’s street food. We will definitely be back for more. One suggestion would be something sweet on the menu, but overall really good experience. Thank you to staff for an amazing evening.
We had a fantastic meal at the Calcutta yesterday evening.
The food was delicious...the best Indian I've had in many years.
What really made our experience five star was the outstanding customer service. A huge thank you to the smiley friendly waiter who went above and beyond to make us and our additional needs child feel at home.
We even had a tour of the kitchen! Which, by the way was Immaculately clean.
Can't wait to come back 😊
Hard to believe that this friendly, relaxing restaurant wasn't full to the brim. It gave me a genuine taste of Calcutta street food. My recommendation (because that is what I ate): Starters - Samosa Chaat, Pani pori
Mains: Murgi masala jakfrelzi chicken, one of the Chef Specials.
Had the most delightful curries, and the onion Bhaji rice was amazing. Next time we stay in Cleethorpes we will definitely be back!
This place has been functioning for 6 months and it does a lot of Indian 🍛 very friendly staff too. If you want something quite different give them a visit
Came here last year and it was great. Now it is shut and you are taken upstairs to a small room. It is trading as Abduls now, but when we booked they used the name Calcutta Street Kitchen. Food was limited and not nice. Avoid.
Go here!
The food is the most amazing flavourful, and enjoyable Indian food experience I have possibly ever had! This had real seasoning and spice. Not your regular everyday overly sweet UK curry!
I shall always be comparing this meal to every Indian meal I eat in the future.
Sean was an amazing host, super friendly and attentive, and the owner was lovely and approachable.
Seriously couldn’t recommend this enough, if you’re local myself and my family envy you!
Absolutely amazing, brought my mum out for a birthday dinner, loved it.
I had the best korma I have ever eaten. Mum had monkfish, she cleared her plate!!
Will now be eating here when we next drive back up to visit.
Have previously had takeaways from here, which we couldn’t fault, so decided to eat in. The food was brilliant and well presented, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. It was very reasonably priced too. Would 100% recommend for takeout or dine in.
We had a wonderful meal 8n this beautiful restaurant. The food was exquisite and there was such a varied menu and it was all very reasonably priced for such a high quality offering.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
