Called in yesterday as a birthday treat for mum. We arrived just after 12pm and the queue for the carvery was already quite long. A sign of a good carvery? I think so. I ordered at the bar and was informed that there would be a wait of about 20 minutes. Whilst waiting for our food there was a steady stream of arrivals and not many leaving, so the place was filling up. And this on a Wednesday afternoon!! Soon the queue for the carvery was very long. Our food arrived and it was worth the wait. Sirloin steak for me, cooked to perfection. Mum said her gammon melted in the mouth, nit many chefs get that right!! I was surprised that the staff on duty were all male, not one female at all. They were coping very well with the steady stream of customers. Liam was doing a great job of clearing tables ready for the next diners. All in all a vvery enjoyable visit and well worth the trip from West Yorkshire. ( although I kept that bit quiet!! )
Great place staff are fantastic, quiz was a laugh and great because it's not a serious one as we've played at different pubs about but feel this is the best. The food is excellent aswell !
We were staying at Thorpe Park and called in for some food, excellent on all accounts. Lovely staff, excellent quality food, will be back. We can recommend the yorkie wrap with chips ��
Came in last week to finally check out your refurb and was pleasantly surprised. The decor and atmosphere was lovely, staff very helpful and attentive, and the food was beautiful. The additions of unlimited soft drink refill and the ice cream machine led to happy children. Will definitely be returning. Well done all.
Absolutely fantastic meal again.been for my daughters birthday who had never been.we had 3 carveries and a 20oz mixed grill and its was awesome.thankyou once again for fantastic food.highly recommended:)
Food lovely, generous portions and great meal deals especially for kids, but the thing that stands out are the staff - polite, efficient and informative and super helpful even when under pressure on a very busy Saturday evening. Will definitely return.
Came today with my husband and 2 sons, we took advantage of the family feast for £20 and were not disappointed. The carvery was delicious everything fresh and hot, huuuuuuge Yorkshire's (the boys favourite) cauliflower cheese was scrummy too. Lots of condiments and yummy gravy. The staff were all really helpful and the car ery guy was great with the kids. To finish we got 2 huge desserts (included) to share. I can definitely recommend the red velvet cheesecake and chocolate eclair cake �. Only wish we had known about it sooner. �
We always come here, for the carvery, when we come to cleethorpes, it never disappoints!! And I can highly recommend the Trawlerman! Only thing that was wrong, is the fact my eyes were bigger, than my belly lol!!
My family and I came for the carvery today. It was absolutely amazing. Tender meat, lovely veg and gorgeous gravy. Would highly recommend.
Came in for a Carvery on Sunday afternoon. The place is really nice, the staff are friendly and the servicel was great! The carvery itself was lovely. One star taken off for the portion of meat served. 2 very thin slices of turkey and beef. Also the Yorkshire pudding was like cardboard. Think they had been sitting out for too long. Other than that it was really enjoyable.
This was our first visit. We were greeted by a lovely member of staff. We had the carvery the food was excellent the best carvery we have had in a long time. The serving staff were lovely too. Just a really nice atmosphere. We will definitely be back 😊
We were welcomed at the door by a lovely staff member. He was very jolly & told us how to order & find our seats. The carvery was top notch & the cakes were amazing! Well worth a visit. 😁
Great choice of food and drink at a really competitive price. We had the carvery which was delicious. We visited here a few years ago while in the area and it was great then so had to return.
Staff were lovely, as soon as we arrived they greeted us and took us to our reserved table. There was a big queue at bar so we used the code on the table to order our food and drinks and thought we would have to wait a while due to how busy it was but our drinks arrived within 5 minutes and not long after the food arrived also. We were full after the main course but loved the look of the desserts menu and the cakes in the cabinet so asked if it was possible to have takeaway dessert as well as the cakes and the staff said certainly, We will be coming back next time we are there on holiday and will definitely recommend to family and friends.
Really impressed with the food and service. I haven't been here in years and only decided to go in with my son for something quick to eat while in the area. Got friendly service when arriving and the food quality was awesome. I don't tend to eat carvery food when looking for places to eat. With that being said the trawlerman is brilliant. Definitely somewhere I would go again. Highly recommend
Went on a Friday evening, had the carvery, the meat was lovely, however all the veggies were just about warm, and some were even cool, and the yorkies had the proverbial soggy bottoms, but saying that it tasted nice, the staff were friendly.
NOTE- The website currently says it’s dog friendly inside, but they are only allowed in the beer garden (bit cold in Oct to sit outside eating!) the lady who rang to advise us said they have asked head office to change it, but it’s not yet been done.
My hubby and I came this afternoon for a carvery. The service we had from walking in the door was great, The wait at the bar for drinks and food orders was a little long but it's Sunday so we expected this. We had the vegetarian options and both meals were lovely and probs one of the best carverys I've had in a while . Despite it being very busy they place was still very clean and a good atmosphere. We also had a take away cake but there was only had 2 options left which weren't what we wanted but they was still so nice. I think we will be making a return soon but make sure we book a table next time.
Came here today free car park, nice pub, kids outdoor play area, small toddler indoor area, fast service and friendly staff! Only reason for 4 stars was the mash on the Carvery was like water and I thought it was overpriced. Roast potatoes was awesome tho!

we hadn't booked but we were both happy with the carvery and it was superb. John was friendly and excellent at his job. Nice run family type of place and good service and food throughout. Will return .
We are staying at Haven Thorpe park and had intended to eat on site, however the food wasn't great so we ventured out....we were a party of 5, celebrating my little boys birthday. The pub was clean and inviting, with a pleasant atmosphere. Staff were all very helpful and the meals were served looking appetising and at a good temperature. It all tasted very nice and generous portion sizes too. Dan, behind the bar was very helpful. We brought a birthday cake for my son and he was responsive when we were leaving and offered us a take away box for the remainder of our cake. We used our blue light card so obtained a good discount too. All in all it was a pleasant experience and we are planning on coming back tomorrow to sample the carvery. Well done, would definitely recommend 😊😊
Was recommended by a friend to go try The Trawlerman carvery whilst stopping over that way. What a great recommendation it was also 😋 the beef melted in my mouth and a great selection of veg also. The service was amazing also from the team that was on Sunday, they couldn't do enough for our little girl 💗. We will definitely be back again when over Cleethorpes next year.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was hot enough and the portions were value for money. If I was to criticise anything it would be that the pigs in blankets are charged separately apart from that I couldn’t fault our experience
