Had the 2 course pensioners special which was great value for money. We loved the atmosphere and were fascinated by the decor and history of the pier. The staff were just lovely, very chatty and helpful. Will certainly be going back on our next visit to Cleethorpes.
Lovely fish and chips!! we've been here a couple of times when we come and visit family. The staff are so lovely and friendly.
I had a Papa's extra large haddock with chip, peas and a pot of tea. I enjoyed every bit of it but needed to remove some of batter as a personal preference. Highly recommended as this venue isn't like a standard 'chippy' but set in a ballroom 👍👍
Amazing fish & chips as Always and the staff Jake , Lauren & Megan on the bar were amazing! So attentive and nothing was too much trouble! Can’t recommend this place enough x
For lunch, we thought we would try Papa's Restaurant on the pier and was not disappointed. We were seated quite quickly, and there is loads of tables.
They can get busy as it filled up quite quick, be prepared for a wait as everything is cooked to order, but it is worth every second of waiting, if

Staff were really friendly and attentive with a particular mention of Andy. Andy showed us to our table and gave us a brief history of the building, Andy was friendly and knowledgeable.

Stunning building. Fantastic customer service. Amazing food, absolutely huge portions. Special shout out to Olivia, such a lovely, helpful and friendly member of the Papas team. All of the staff were so approachable. Would definitely recommend.
Staff are second to none, so helpful and polite, absolutely brilliant value for money. There was 8 of us food was fairly quick and the place was packed out. Brilliant location and perfect service. Wasnt hungry afterwards proper filled us up. Prices were very reasonable especially in todays economy.
Love the fish here, the batter is so crisp and not greasy at all. The mushy peas are delicious as well! Unfortunately the service here can be a bit slow so it is best to allow yourself plenty of time to enjoy a meal. The location of course makes it worth the wait.
Had seen other people's reviews on here so thought we'd give it a go and wasn't disappointed health portions and not badly priced. It was quite busy but it was a weekend but plenty of staff who were all friendly and helpful.
Very good food. Service was swift. Personally, I didn't like the curry sauce, it was too sweet.
We went back a 2nd time the following day, but the batter was a little soggy, however it was still good food. Would definitely recommend it.
This is out second visit while in the area , and again didn't disappoint. The small haddock was more than enough and the large was hanging off both sides of a large oval plate .. fantastic setting, watching the sun set or just reminiscing about days gone by , of roller disco and pier39 discos ..
Yummy! Very nice fish 🐟 batter. We had 3 kids meals and 2 medium haddock meals (adults). The haddock was a good size and you got a fair portion of chips. The kids fish and chips 🍟 was equally large and none of them finished their plates. The batter on the fish was nice and crispy, not greasy at all
What a wonderful looking restaurant, apparently the largest Fish and Chips in the World, with 500 sitting inside, with another 50 outside. There is an Art deco design. Was our wish while away to have F&C looking out to sea but unfortunately all the normal window seats were taken, the very friendly y
We decided to have dinner here for our daughters 7th birthday whilst we were staying at a local holiday park. The restaurant is beautiful! With a classic vintage style theme. We had the standard size fish and chips and honestly was more than enough (that’s coming from a rather rounded man) the fish
Awesome Fish n Chips best I’ve had yet on East coast. Staff very pleasant and helpful highly recommended if you want a nice seaside fish n chip restaurant.
Great quality fish and chips. Great views of the sea. The interior of the restaurant is the old theatre. Excellent!
Lovely fish and chips 🍟 I had the plaice came cooked to perfection. The staff where very professional and attentive. Sean our server was more than professional. Memeber if staff came and asked after we had eaten was every thing to our satisfaction.
