Excellent addition to Clarkston. Finally a great local shop with a cracking selection of craft beer. It also has license to drink in the shop so it has now become my local for a drink.
Yesterday after walking the dog - Poppy and I decided to try a wee refreshment a wine for me and water for her. It was very reasonably priced - the wine was a small bottle which was a large glass £3.95. The weather was great and we sat outside. So pleased to have a dog friendly place to go into for a drink - we need more dog friendly places in Clarkston!!
So much of a great selection. Amazing hospitality and family, such a good hostess, very helpful. Knows the range of alcohol and of course accompanying snacks for each beverage. ��highly recommend
Exactly what Clarkston needs. An off-licence that specialises in craft beer, wine and artisan Gin. No more wandering the supermarket aimlessly looking at generic lager or the odd bottle of Brewdog, this place has hundreds of bottles and cans to choose from as well as draught lager you can bottle for yourself. It will take me a while to work through everything they have �
It's rare you find a place with genuinely knowledgable and friendly staff. Helpful and stocked with a huge selection of all kinds of craft beer. Exactly what Clarkston was needing! A joy to visit.
Was struggling to find banana liqueur in any shop (my wee mum got a taste for it on a recent holiday). Had read the reviews and thought it'd be worth a try to pop into Maxwells to see if they stocked it. They didn't BUT offered to try to source it for me. Phoned me within a week to say they had it. Even offered me a choice of two different kinds. Great service Maxwells! Thank you (and my wee mum is dead pleased too!)
I have always loved the shop in Pollokshields, but this is even better. Wonderful selection of beers to keep my friends and I in fb #beertag every weekend.

Went in yesterday shortly after it opened. Staff were very welcoming and certainly have a great knowledge of their various products from wine, gin, whisky to beer.
Will be a regular customer.
Absolutely excellent, from the wide range of craft beer (wine, champagne and spirits also) to the staff who are friendly, knowledgable and more than happy to take the time and help you with anything. Being a big craft beer fan myself, i would usually have to go to the city centre or failing that Wholefoods to pick up some craft brews. The prices in maxwells are much cheaper and they are centered at the heart of clarkston. Local heroes! What more could you ask?

My fellow Clarkstonians.... If you have not yet visited Onka and his magic cavern...where have you been the last few weeks ! I encourage everyone to support this local venture, which is very easy..just go and pay him a visit ..you will be hooked.

Maxwells Clarkston offers a fantastic range of craft beer, spirits and wines. The venue is licensed to enjoy any of the drinks on the premises. They also offer a selection of cocktails and crisps. They allow you to bring in food purchased from the local takeaway places nearby. Since December 2022 the new management have done amazing at making the place one of the best places in East Renfrewshire to enjoy a drink. It feels like a great community pub and is a focal point for the local residents of Clarkston. I'd highly recommend Maxwells Clarkston to anyone. Oh and they are dog friendly too! Don't forget to ask for a wee treat for your furry friends.

Small... true. But homely and the staff go well out of their way for you. Look forward to sitting outside when the weather gets warmer though I believe they provide covers in this weather.
Fantastic wee gem in Clarkston with a Euro open front bar vibe and lovely staff. Just grab your drink off the shelf or order a beer on tap, pay, sit down and enjoy. Gluten free beer on tap. Hundreds or beer choices on shelf. It was almost perfect apart from not stocking Delerium Tremens.🙂

This is conorsors cave they've got everything. Brilliant atmosphere. Wonderful folk. The draught beers are exceptional fresh and crisp. Well worth a visit. Onkar and Jas(badho)🥰
