Lovely cafe in the Clare park by the old railway line and station. Nice stop for simple good food (jackets, baps, sandwiches etc.) Or take aways for walks around the park, village or alone the disused railway line.

Great little Cafe located in Clare County Park in what used to be the old railway station. Very cosy with a real fire. Good coffee and a fantastic sausage bap.

This is a really lovely little cafe. The staff are really polite and the food is amazing. We had hot chocolates, tea, fruit scone, sausage bap and soup and it was all amazing. Empty plates all round! We will definitely come back sometime. It is also a dog friendly cafe too which we love.

Lovely cafe in old beautifully restored station on Stour Valley line. Unusually it has a castle in the goods yard. The whole area between castle and River Stour now a country park. The village is a short step and is well worth ecploring. Beautiful medieval church and buildings. Cheap parking and great cafe in station make this a good base to explore village and surroundings. Several circular country walks radiate from the car park through surrounding area of outstanding natural beauty.

Had a snack with friends at this nice little cafe within the Country Park. The toasted sandwich was fairly basic but tasty and there was a good selection of cakes. The two young waitresses in particular were a joy. Even though it was busy when we arrived, they were cheerful, welcoming and very efficient, clearing/wiping tables promptly and generally keeping an eye on what needed to be done.

I only had a can of coke, but the location is absolutely wonderful! After doing the park run of 'Clair' we were quickly served in the convenient cafe next door. Being able to see the view of the ruins and old platform.

Can't really fault it. The ex ticket office and station master's house is nicely restored. Service was polite. Coffee was strong and tasted great. Loved the Victoria sponge cake. The Suffolk sausage bap is also good for a breakfast snack. Would return.

We visited on a very wet day and so were not in the best of mood when arriving at Platform 1. The tea was nice but my scone was a bit dry. Some extremely nice looking pies had just come out of the oven but I was too full to try them. The service was a mixture of help yourself and being waited on. Probably a nice place to visit/sit on a day with nice weather. I will go back and give them another chance. I originally gave this three stars because of the dry scone. I have subsequently visited this cafe and things were much better, perhaps my first visit was on an off day. Because of this I've re-rated it 4 stars Revisited in April 2023. Because the cafe was busy the service was quite slow. My coffee and scone were fine though.

Love little cafe set in the old station in Clare country park. There is seating inside and some outside seating to the back of the cafe with great views across the park. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is plenty to choose from including hot sandwiches as well as plenty of cakes. Will definitely visit again.

The selection of food item wasn't that great. We ordered 5 tea and only 4 tea cups initially came. One of us had to go and ask for 1 extra tea cup. There aren't that many seats outside. The location is great though.

Superb food and gluten-free choccie and lemon curd (separate!) cakes to die for! (allow extra 5 minutes to make impossible choice from all-types tempting fresh cake selection ) Takeaway or 'sit-out' in greenery of Clare country Park; warm welcome, friendly service. Delightful.
